Checked Bonnie's site and was looking over her pictures from the new book. Really like the way she used strings as background fabrics. She do have a way with scraps, don't she?

Bonnie, anything that will use my nickels, diet noodles, bricks or 2 1/2" squares, lol!

I'm sure once I get the book, the FIRST quilt will jump out at me! Smile

Pssssst... I am going to see her in September at a workshop in Lexington. She always brings books to her workshops, (or so I read on her blog). So I am thinking of waiting and getting her to hand it to me personally!
Can not wait!

Rondiquilts you will see enjoy her trunk show when you see her in September. I got to see her when I lived in Texas. That was the ONLY reason I joined the guild b/c I knew she would be coming that year. So glad I did. Wink She signed my books for me there and I didn't have to pay shopping.

Lexington is pretty close to me, I'm on the other side of the river in IN from Louisville but since I have no grandparents in town that means no babysitters to keep my kids for me to go Frown I doubt I could talk dh into using a vacation day for keeping kids while I go Roll Eyes

Rhondiquilts- Bonnie is a bundle of fun. I took a short 3 hr class at the Vermont Quilt Festival 7/1 and had a great time. She did bring books to sign. Remember to double check your 1/4" seam before you go to be sure your pieces turn out well. Bonnie spent the first 15 minutes having people check their seam allowance and sells a $3 gadget to help folks check alignment. I use a generic $4 snap on foot from JoAnns and was spot on. Be prepared, have your fabrics ready, and Enjoy. Don't forget your camera!

My book arrived today and I think it's my favorite. Once the dust settles from all the other projects I have to do, I'll decide which pattern to make first.

Rondi, you'll enjoy every minute spent with Bonnie. I had 2 super days of classes with her, trunk show & talk at guild, and visited when I picked her up at the hotel. There will be books that she'll sign and lots of info shared. A must if anyone gets the opportunity!
