    Hi all,

I know all you creative ladies will come up with something good. Need something appropriate for my MIL's 80th birthday label. I made a tree of life (will post photo when done) with the leaves around the top flowers representing four children and spouses, then a layer of leaves for grandchildren and one for great grandchildren. Don't want it mushy as we don't have that type of relationship, friendly but not especially warm so don't want to it to represent something it's not. Simple, but good for reaching 80. Everything I have is too lovey. Thanks in advance.

Sorry but I keep getting deleted because of trigg*r words. Space in our L*ords name below because it is a trigg*er word.

    quote:

    A New leaf

There’s a new leaf upon the Tree
A thousand, thousand have been before
In the life of this great tree
Yet, the Tree rejoices, and is glad
For there is a New Leaf upon the tree

The roots are deep, and hidden
Tis one tree from root to branch
And lives in and through each leaf
    The hearts’ smile resurrected
Through the New leaf upon the tree

    Like the stars of heaven
    New leaves have been many
And so they all are One
For they all share the same root
Bless the New leaf upon the tree

    Perfection in the Blessing
Joy released in tears of love
The strength in life will comfort
    From root to G_od above
A New leaf upon the tree

    Beauty, Truth, and life
    Complete from root to branch
    When life’s cycle turns
    Leaves fall to nourish roots
And behold, a New leaf upon the tree

I will post the other part that got deleted. I have to search for it again.

    Susan

I just found this one. Still looking for the missing one:
    quote:
A man is a bundle of relations, a knot of roots,
whose flower and fruitage is the world.
    - Ralph W. Emerson, 1803 - 1882

Finally found what I was looking for. This is a quote for a synopsis on a poem written by Amy Reynolds on 5/3/99 called A TOUCH OF LOVE:
    quote:

Things change, children grow into adults - and still the cycle of Life continues.
