Friend sent me this recently. Look at the stash this lady has! and she's challenging anyone to post a video to top it! I know we have a lot of fabricholics here so someone can probably surpass her!
OMGosh! I used to buy large amounts of fabric for my collection and ended up always needing just a little more of this or not enough of that. I have stopped buying and use from what I have. That's a heck of a lot of money on those shelves. WOW!

Oh my goodness, I thought I had a lot, but I don't hold a candle to her!!! I'd have to do a lot of shopping to beat her stash, not sure I want that as a goal though.
I hate to admit it but I probably have as much as she does if not more, just mot as organized as hers. Just counted 53 copy paper boxes in the spare bedroom and half a dozen plastic storage boxes that fit under the bed. Know I have more books without a doubt.
Guess that is why I send out a stash-busters prize every month and love doing the pillowcases and backings as they take up so much at once... Chris

wow, she has a lot stuffed in those 2 rooms! I like the jars for thread...I might try that...have lots of vintage canning jars with buttons...thread would be great too.

Most of my quilting stash is in 1/2 yards in labeled containers as to era or project, only 2 bolts of muslin,4 of stripes. About 20 big boxes clothing fabric for costumes and vintage clothing, bears and santas. Metal shelving on 2 walls, full of quilt fabric. A couple of years ago I stopped counting at 85 boxes. Gulp. It is going out, however...love making pillowcases...

I don't have as many full bolts as she does, but then I make mostly small things & small quilts, so I don't necessarily need yards & yards of one fabric. However, I think I've said before that I quit counting when I got to 2000 different cuts of fabric in my stash, and that was more than 10 years ago. I'll bet I have double that number now, mostly 1/4 yard to 2 yard cuts.
People who don't sew or don't understand why I need so many fabric choices walk into my sewing room & stop in their tracks when they see my fabric. I've never had the philosophy of "Go buy fabric for a specific project." It's always been "Go buy fabric, and THEN see what projects it will inspire." And I need a LOT of inspiration!

Wow! I would also love to go thru that room. My DH and son think I have alot but I know compared to several of you guys I don't hold a torch. I keep telling them I need more.

I would say I have as much stash, not as many bolts...and certainly no where as near as organized as her...my sewing room is a work in progress, trying to get the most out ofa tiny bedroom I have way more books, but pretty sure i'd swap nearly all my dtash for her quilting machine...lol...then again i have no where to put it, unless I ditch my dining room.

My stash is good sized, but nothing compared to that!! I was impressed with her organization, liked the way she had cut squares with the accu-go and organized them into jars by size.
Ha! And my sisters think I have a lot of fabric. Not even close! Maybe 1/8. All of my fabric would have fit into just one of her towers! Maybe I should show that video to my sisters and they'll finally understand. LOL.
Very interesting...I will own up to 3 bookcases of quilt books, like Nancy . But it would take too long to count the rest of my stash and story....suffice to say 20'X40' fairly well filled in, with trails to walk and work in, LOL...DH sez if I am not happy, it is my own d... fault. No bolts full here, never know in advance what I need a big piece of. Joyce

I could show DH this, but he isn't buying it. He's still of the opinion that I ought to start sending fabric OUT of the room instead of bringing it IN!!! Silly man.
Nicely organized. I kept thinking of how much she had in shelves, bins, boxes etc. Those satchel type boxes are not cheap, even on sale. She has a fortune in thread too.
I may know someone who has more, but I have not personally seen it. Would love to some day.

Yep...I'm totally inspired by the fabric. It dictates everything. Very seldom am I inspired by a pattern(except 2 color red and white, blue and white)...but FABRIC...ay yigh yigh!!! If I see 1 project, I see 10!! Oh, and the ideas to make stuff that come when I take a shower!!!! MOVIES!!!! I'm tired just by the work in my head!!!

Nancy, I think you & I were twins separated at birth. I often draw my ideas in the steaminess on the shower doors! It's one of my best places to think!!

OMgosh YES!!!! Never thought about drawing on the shower door!!! Very cool! I try and remember that I usually have to go somewhere after the shower...but I can't begin to tell you how often I've beeen late somewhere just because I've totally forgotten where I was going. Lately I've been getting ready the night before becasue the temptation is too great to stay in there and design stuff!!! Maybe I need a water feature in the sewing room...then again the cats might drive me nuts and I'd have to p e e all the time....hahahhaahah!

Nancy your a Hoot! I have a lot of shelves so I don't have to have all the containers she has. I have a bookcase just for my books. My husband bought shelving units for me and put them together so I can fold my fabric up and organize on the shelves. Really nice cause you can see and feel when ever you want to and I don't have to unstack totes or containers. Great for me as I'm very short and bad back.

Holy Smokes! That's about all I can say. Wonder where/how she stores the thread clippings & trash treasures? Can't imagine she throws anything away. I would love to be that organized but like someone said, there's a load of money just in her furnishings !!

I think you could fit all of my stash in ONE of her "twin towers". Gee, she must be one serious quilter. She sure is organized.
