| Penny That quilt is beautiful.
I would like to thank you for some words you shared with me quite some time ago. I was thinking of going back to school, but was very scared to take the plunge. I read your blog often and found out you too, had done it once with young kids. maybe you don't recall, but you encouraged me to go back and tackle my degree. I only have one class next sememster to finish my Cell& Molecular Bio degree. I will then go to a 10 month lab science certificate class and in a few years the U will have a Masters program for Clinical lab science.....whether that is in my future I don't know, we'll see. But thanks for sharing your stories because they do touch people. |

| Love the quilt and of course, beautiful Evelyn!
I really wanted to comment, though, on what RockinBobbin wrote. So many times, a comment on this board or on a blog means so much to the person reading it. Although, we don't always get a chance to say thank you, it still might make our day, or month, or year! I'm glad RockinBobbin was able to tell you that your encouragement was just what she needed. Congrats, RockinBobbin, on your studies! Susan |

| Well, shoot. Now, I'm crying after reading this. But I love the way we share and communicate through this board. Penny, that quilt is gorgeous and I'm so glad that you have a beautiful reminder of 9/11 and not just the grim ones. Tanya -- we're all so proud of you for jumping back in there on the degree. What a great example you are setting for your girls. |

I am so excited for you! That is absolutely terrific. Thanks for letting me know. Honestly, I've thought about going back and getting another degree in zoology or environment management. Why not? |

I will never look at them the same after that. Thank you for pointing that out. My son watched the towers fall - what an awful day. |

Tonya, Hip, Hip, Hooray! My daughter went back to college, got her degree and masters. She was in her 50's at the time. I know how hard it is to go back from her experiences.
So proud of you both!
I am sure that was a long, long day. I can't imagine. When the time is right, you may make a quilt. It was so odd that when I started this one, I so wanted to do the colors. I am glad I waited. |

I was just asking about you nt long ago. Glad to "see" you! Beautiful quilt-love the colors. Great to see Evelyn too. How is Pearl? Hope your family is doing well.
Hugs Gina
Thanks. Pearly is not doing so well. She has something wrong with her eyes and keeps losing her vision but then getting it back. They first thought it was rocky mountain spotted fever. Then they thought it was an auto immune problem. I go to the third specialist on Monday to see if she has any new ideas because she isn't responding to the medication they way they would expect if it was RMSF or an auto immune problem. Pearly is only three and this has been going on since last October. She's had six "relapses" and is on strong meds seems like all day every few hours. |

| Thanks, all. Keepyouinstitches, Pearly went to an internist, today, and she has some ideas on how to treat her so this has been a productive day. |

| Beautiful, beautiful quilt! Evelyn is a beauty and I hope Pearl gets back to herself soon. Very strange symptoms-the fact that they come and go tells me her system is battling whatever it is. Bless her heart! Give her a good ol' rub behind the ears and a big hug and kiss for me! Pam |

| A beautiful quilt and a touching story behind it. I always love your fabric choices. This time, those stars really pop with the interaction of the darks and lights in each block. I like the dense quilting too. Hope your sweet dog responds to the new treatment. Rockin'Bobbin, I'm so proud of you! It's a challenge to get dinner on the table every night with a house full of kids, so I know you're working extra hard to earn that degree too. Whew! I agree with FFG, your example to your girls will mean so much as they grow and make their career decisions. - Kim/SeeingStars |
