the floral is corduroy, yes. I got it on clearance at Hobby Lobby.
i made another rag quilt sometime ago with larger squares of corduroy and cotton. the small or tight wale corduroy works great.

that is so pretty. I have a dum question.. I love the look of rag quilts. Are they comfy? Someone at the house saw one on the computer and said she thought it would feel lumpy. I did not think so but do they if you lay on them of are they just for draping over instead.

yes, they are comfy. to me anyway. they are soft, just as regular quilts are. the only difference is the seams show.

Cathy - my favorite quilt is a purple/green rag quilt I bought at a quilt auction. It is made of regular quilters cotton on both sides, with something thin between (flannel?cotton?).
I love that thing.....so comfy.

Native TXn, that pink/brown/yellow looks great together. Love it.

I went to a card game today (Apples to Apples) and a lady there worked with Precious Child and she took my rag quilt to auction off. I'm happy. I was going to call our Police or Fire department and see if they wanted it to give to a deserving child. Problem solved. Some little girl may be happy soon. I hope.
