It's too pretty of a day to whimper, actually! Smile

Don't pout ...quilt ...I have all those mags so already like them...but I did click on a couple and found a couple corrections posted for the patterns in the magazine. McCalls was one of them.

I am trying very hard not to buy anymore magazines. But I do hope you get a lot of response to your post. Have a few projects for fall that I might not get made again this fall. I'm bad. Do admire those of you who do get a lot done.

I'll check McCalls for the corrections... I think it was the Decoupage and Harvest Moon that I really liked.

I'm on a road-trip w/DH today & tomorrow, which means walking around the stores for me. I thumbed through a few magazines, but it seemed that a lot of titles were missing. I'm in the process of collecting pumpkin patterns so that I can do a big quilt like my neighbor did. She mixed in applique pumpkins with Flannels! - I've set aside all my Fall magazines from way back... I seem to like Fall patterns more than I did 10-years ago!!

... poor internet connection - I'll have to come back tonight. Have a Good Sewing Day!

OOPS!!! The mistake was not in the patterns you posted.

It was in the Bonus Patterns in the Nov./Dec. 2011 Issue, Xmas one, Bows and Boughs, this one..

TcMay - I'm happy that you mentioned the corrections - I'm pretty sure that I downloaded that Xmas pattern!

The Bird on a Fence pattern is really cute - they are offering the Bird Block as a web bonus ( I wrote this down as a table-runner project):

Paus, The Twizzler pattern was Numero Uno on my list!

jessicasews,I love my magazines too! I especially love Quilts and More.Scrap Lab feature. This time,it missed the mark,I think it was the fabric they used. That purple just died on that page, and then to put the pictures of Joanna and Camille, who are at the whole other end of the color spectrum, looked ridicoulous to me! The patterns were so much the same, but the little sewing pouch was darling but that fabric was hard to take.Just did not photograph well.I love Am Patchwork and
Quilting. Can you imaginehow hard it is to please so many different people?

If anyone has a copy of the American Patchwork & Quilting April 2009 - would you check and see if this quilt pattern is in it?

This twin-sized quilt is shared on the American Patchwork & Quilting Sew & Tell, the quilter said it was based on the quilt on Page 80. After I posted a question as to which year (2009 or 2010), I noticed that the comments began in 2009.
It's pretty!

This Scrap Lab project is on my to-do list with darker fabrics (a gold/burnt orange piece and a paisley print): http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/...-and-pumpkins_1.html
(love those pumpkins as centerpieces)

Thank you for checking on the pattern! I looked at that quilt several times. It looks like every-other block is 'framed'.

Thank you for checking, BonnieN!
I've gone through the website a few times and have a feeling that I'm not searching in the correct year. Maybe the pattern(and quilter's name) will pop up in a group of patterns there, it might have been a bigger quilt pattern and this poster made a twin size from it... The pattern looks like every-other block has a frame in it - that's doable!

Wow... there's beautiful magazines out right now!

Malou, I hope you are well... I've been thinking about you! Smile The cost of magazines have crept up and I rarely see them not on 10% sale, so I can't just pick up a magazine on a whim - after looking through the ones that I've seen (I haven't listed them all..Smile), I think there are 2 that would be 'keepers'. It just 'figures' that one of them $9.99... groan!

I'm bookmarking a lot of web pages on these magazine sites! Inspiration Smile

Have to go to WalMart tomorrow so will look for a couple of the magazines. Glad you gave us clues to some good ones!

jessicasews, take a close look at that picture of the quilt that lady posted that you love, I think it says 2008! That label!!!and, her granddaughter's name is Ashlynn,so that may not even be the correct name of this pattern! Oh,the frustration! but, breaking down this pattern it is alternating framed block with a plain square, with a scalloped border..think Eleanor Burns scalloped ruler,it really works, directions tells you all you need to know.so,if you decide what size block you want, you could easily use a charm pack with a jelly roll to be real easy. Or the sizes for a place to start, and there you go!! Someone with EQ probably could map it out better, but I think you could do this just fine.Somehow,I think this is a much older pattern if her label is what it reads to me. There is a place on Am Patchwork site that has patterns to download that were real popular,I looked at them all,it is not there. I think you could manage this just fine.

I think it is called Dandelion Wishes and in the April 2008 Issue, I found a pdf while searching the image...Anyone know what the front cover of this magazine looks like.I tried to find it online but NADA and it would make my search faster in my mags.

Go down to Item # 91,you have to look hard but I'm pretty sure it is the same with a scalloped border.

May, I'm sure you are right! That is Dandelion Wishes, April 2008. In the Ashlynn quilt those little corner squares of the frame were red not white in the original. Looks like a fairly straightforward design but sooo pretty.

I agree! Dandelion Wishes is the pattern! THANK YOU! Smile

Last night I was looking up some patterns that were from magazine ads and found this...
Check out Folk Hearts by Sara Trail: http://www.fabri-quilt.com/patterns/
Somewhat similar! I think I'll just pick a block size and 'go for it', now that we have a quilt name to give credit to the designer.

Woodblock by Ro Gregg was the pattern that lead me to the site... pretty quilt for men.

Here's a Dandelion!

I'm drooling over all the pretty quilt cover pictures (in TcMay's link).
It's like a 'quilt parade'! There's a couple quilts that look familiar (I might have a few American Patchwork magazines)!

I looked up Dandelion Wishes and found the quilt (made) on several sites! Happily, I found this blog posted that names the designer... Designed by Joanna Figueroa, pieced by Wilma Lawrence and Joanna Figueroa and quilted by Diana Johnson.
It's great to read, "it was one of our all time best selling kits".

I check out the Fig Tree blogspot often myself. Always have liked it.
Did you all see that the Dandelion Wishes quilt on the fatquarter shop blog had the last bid at $1000?!! I do like that pattern and the fabric used to make that quilt.
Glad the mystery was solved jessica! Bonnie was right... ask on here and you will get the answer! There are some wonderful detectives who help us out on this MB.
Most of the shopping was to put some food in the refrig & cupboards after COF! I did pick up a magazine too!

* Smokey Pink by Sue Harvey and Sandy Boobar

Quilting Celebrations by Patrick Lose -

If I was going to list the most beautiful quilt pattern that I've seen in a magazine this Fall - I would have to say the Album of Roses by Rita Verroca (Quilt Newsletter). Gorgeous!

Adding a photo that my son sent me as a text... very funny!
I see he took his girlfriend past the quilts at the Fair... 10-points for him!

I bought 2 magazines - they didn't have the Scrap Sensations magazine, so I chose the Simple Quilts & Sewing for all the gift-y patterns.

Kim, I had that magazine in my hand at least 3 times! That's the one that has a cute Bike Satchel pattern! It's hard to choose. The ladies at the Joann's didn't mind me sitting and deciding which magazine to buy - we talked about how the magazines are constantly on sale (10%)...

Bonnie, this issue of Simple Quilts & Sewing is on display until Jan. 7, 2013 (Winter). The Fall Symphony table runner pattern by Jane Spolar went right to my heart (combining Fall colors with a touch of purple).
...I briefly looked through the Spring/Summer issue and liked several patterns (Moving Mosaics and Ripple Effects) - the magazine is $9.99. Adding: Bonnie, the article in the American Patchwork & Quilting: Betsy Chutchian - Mini Quilts is really pretty!

Thank goodness I've come across back issues of various quilt magazines (thrift shops and quilt shops) at clearance prices!

After starting the table-runner, I decided that I wasn't happy with the beige tonal fabric... after mixing it in with a few other fabrics, I've got a blended background and I'm ready to applique.

It's going to be a nice Fall day for sewing! Of course, that's after the sun comes up...
