NoraJ23, your mugrug is done and in the mail. I have a tracking # if needed.
I guess I can tell you my original idea now. I was trying to do a Celtic Knot letter N, but my ribbon just would not cooperate with me. I hope you GET it with this one, because I didn't actually use your initial. My 91 year old mother got it so I think you will too! Hope you like it.

MLB, I got my mug rug today...beautiful! I didn't take a pic yet because it was after dark when I went to get the mail (I was feeling a bit under the weather & slept till almost 5pm!). I'll take one in the daylight & post tomorrow or Sunday, unless you have one to post sooner.

Thanks!!

I received my mugrug today from Wiley.

I am laughing so hard my cheeks hurt, my tummy muscles are strained. I'll probably wind up with hiccups. In between laughs I'm saying OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!!!

Now, what could Wiley have done to bring so much humor into my day, into my mugrug?

Up until the age of 10ish or there abouts, I was called 'Polly'. That being synonomus with the saying..."Want a cracker?" That being linked with a very particular creature on this G od's green earth.

I hated the saying!!!! I hated the creature!!!! As only a child can.

What does Wiley send me.....

The pictures don't do the fabric justice. The colors are very bright, vivid. Wonderful to look at.

My machine is back and running so I should get yours done today and in the mail tomorrow.

Thank you again, Wiley, I really do love it!!! BTW, a very nice first mug rug!!! The 'iniital' is outstanding; wish I'd have thought of that.

Mandy, this was a great theme, a very good challenge and I do believe everyone lived up to it. Outstanding mug rugs from all.

LOL! Never in a million years did I connect this with a "Polly Parrot". I only thought of "Pauline". None of my sewing friends did either, they just loved the fabric.

About six years or so ago, I opened an email from someone I had not seen or heard from/about in nigh onto 60 years. It opened up with....

"Hey, Polly, want a cracker?" Gawd!!!! If it had been a phone call, I'd have slammed the phone down. lolllll

The fabric is beautiful, Wiley. So bright, a great addition to my household.
