Gale just signed up the other day, my friend from Canada. She has not been able to see pictures. she has gone out and back in. Help Desk suggested she change her password. That wasnt it. now she cant post at all.
She has Win 7 and running IE has her browser. Didn't a lot of us here, have trouble with IE and this site? I know i did and still cant use the hyper text = smileys/urls/colors.
i use google chrome.
let's see if we can get her up and running on this board..so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Kim
Kim...I use both IE and Mozilla...with issues only limited to the HGTV Server..I have to believe it is a setting in her computer or her Virus Programs or Security settings. If she does not delete her cookies and temporary files it keeps doing the same thing over and over and she can not get in to HGTV..
First and Foremost she needs to Delete all Cookies and Temporary Files on her computer...ALL of them.BEFORE doing this she needs to make sure she knows all her passwords which she has saved somewhere......

Kim, I have Win7 and use Firefox most of the time without problems except those that are associated with our internet service in general. Haven't done anything special in the way of deleting cookies - I just let Norton take care of them.

Kim, I mostly use IE on my windows7 laptop. I do have mozilla on it too, but the only difference I see between the 2 is the grey lines in the "reply" box...I can live with that.
I agree, it's case sensitive...could you be accidentally hitting the shift key anytime? Have you tried rebooting computer after logging out? Clear the decks, so to speak.
It's so frustrating...us longtime members have learned and gotten used to this, but we have an attachment to membership. The newbies, i bet, get frustrated and go somewhere else not so complicated.
