Well, at least the first part of the finale is tonight. The finales are always my favorite episodes of PR, even though it means that the season is ending. I love it when Tim makes housecalls! I hope they use that format again this time. Wouldn't you love to hear ding-dong and have Tim at your door?! Smile And then there's Fashion Week and the Big Announcement.

Will they eliminate one designer tonight? What kinds of twists & turns do they have up their raglan sleeves? Is Chris teacher's pet? Or will they crown someone else? Stay tuned! Cool

I'm watching Encore's Blood and Sweat? a mini series about the building of Titanic so I will have to watch one and tape the other. Should be interesting when they can finally do what they want. Versatility is the name of the game and I don't see that with the girl designer; she does high collars and leather combos frequently. Maybe Dimitry gets it this year. Serious player.

I love Dmitry's style & his mad sewing skillz! But then I loved Mondo (who didn't?) and the judges gave the win to Gretchen. So I have no idea which way the pendulum will swing this time, or what the judges will ultimately do. Other than entertain me once again! Smile

Have any of you been following the "conspiracy" rumblings about Sonjia's bag of gold fabric disappearing last week? Some think it's very fishy how that happened, and maybe a twist the producers did to throw her off balance or "get rid" of her. Confused

I forgot to mention that tonight is also the VP debate. Whole lotta taping going on... Maybe we shouldn't talk about results until later on Friday, or at least give spoiler alerts?

I'm ready to watch and have it set to tape the debates. I hope too Tim drops in on them at home. He generally has some good comments about what they've done and suggestions too. Hate to see the season end so soon!

It's also the final game between the Detroit Tigers and LA. Tigers gotta win tonight!
And it's PR and the VP debates and I have a meeting. And my VCR is unhooked. DVR? What's a DVR?

Looks like I'll be running home early.

Quiltinana2: DVR I think means direct video record. It's provided by cable companies so that you can record what you're watching or you can set it to record what's coming up on whatever channel you want, simply by pushing the RECORD button on your remote. That puts a red dot next to the program on the Guide as you scroll through. Pretty neat!

I knew that was gonna happen... I think Dimitri is going to take this one home....

I dont think Chris' gown is gonna walk well.. The model is going to have to shuffle under all that fabric.. Did I see him ripping the bottom on the preview of right before it walked???

Especially leather shorts. Ew. I didn't feel the love for Christopher's "distressed" leather or his fabric at all.

I really like Fabio as a person, but I don't get his collection. The plastic canvas jewelry & purses were plain wierd.

I laughed when Nina was telling Melissa to alter her white jacket. I'd cut about 1/2 of that collar off too actually.

Dimitry's white dress was my favorite. I felt bad that his home visit was so lonely... I love his clothes and his calm professional demeanor. Less whining - more working!

Last night's episode was so exciting that....I kept falling asleep. Red Face Glad I taped it.

I totally didn't get Fabio's collection -- ethereal clothes + clunky shoes? Confused Whatever! Melissa's was predictable (knew I'd see leather + HIGH collars...), Chris's was a (disappointing) surprise, and Dmitry's was as polished & well-made as I thought it would be. Were they really calling his stuff dowdy? How can a sheer top with matching undergarment be dowdy?! Are they trying to AUF our dear Dmitry? Frown

I started dozing off where they were picking which looks to show, so I need to go back & start watching from there, to see which parts I missed. Lots of questions in my mind... Why was some stuff left undone? Why were they doubting themselves and scurrying around the workroom? Why didn't clothes fit the models right? They had - what - 5? weeks to sew. I wouldn't have left the house until the last hem was pressed! Did the producers tell them to leave some stuff til the last minute, to create more workroom drama? I'm going to have to go back & watch what happened...

I, too, felt sorry for Dmitry...no job, no apt. of his own, and all he could offer Tim was tea & store-bought cookies! Big Grin Although I'd be happy to have tea & cookies with Tim...but without the bag tag hanging out of the cup, I think. I can't believe Tim didn't correct that little serving etiquette faux pas! Eek Guess he's too polite. Smile

Also didn't know there were so many checked shirts in the world! Tim has been rocking the checks lately!! Cool (Does he have his own line of menswear?)

I just finished watching, (watched the debate last night). I love Dimitri's designs, would love to have his dresses, suits and jackets. Of course I need to also have a models figure to wear them. I think Melissa and Chris have some great pieces, just nothing as great as Dimitri's. I don't get Fabio's look, just not my thing, maybe it's my age, (but I'm not admitting that!)

so, I watched the debate and went to bed only to get up later and watch the rerun of the latest episode only to FALL ASLEEP at the end and miss who got booted for fashion week! Who did they boot? Much as I love Chris and his beautiful style all season, I thought his choices for the judges viewing pleasure were WAY underwhelming. And I agree with everyone saying...Melissa's collars are TOO big! I do love Fabio and his eclectic style. We'll see there. But my favorite is Dimitry and I hope he makes it.

I couldn't believe what Christopher sent down the runway-2 pair of shorts? Ithought for sure he was gone. Dimitri's were the best. That plain black dress of Melissa's? Not for the runway. I liked the pink dress of Fabio's, but not with the excessories and the other garment. Just weird. The runway show should be good.
