Anyone how many yards needed to do "one block wonder" queen quilt top? I will make this a new years to do list. Will go ahead now and purshase fabric. Will obtain instructions, later. Libby

According to the book - 9 yds for hexagon blocks and 11-1/2 for octagon blocks. But these are only guideline and will depend on the repeat of the fabric. If you do hexagon blocks, you will need a multiple of 6 repeats - 6, 12, 18, etc. and if you do octagon blocks, you will need a multiple of 8 repeats.

Good Luck! I have one cut, but have never got around to sewing the hexagons together.

ETA: The book also says do not pre-wash the fabric - the sizing helps to keep the blocks from distorting.
