• • • Who would like to join me for dinner Thursday evening before the retreat begins? Wave

This year the committee has found a very special place for us to get to know one another and have some great hometown cooking. I have been told it is one of the BEST and MOST POPULAR restaurants in Branson. Big Grin

We will be dining at Andy Williams Moon River Grill. Yummy Yummy
Reservations are set for 6pm on the 20th.

Let me remind you, this is NOT included with your retreat fees. You will have to sign up here and then send in $25 (per person) to Saved Sinnr before May first. Your guests (DH's) are welcome to join us.

This will be a sit down meal and the Chef is going to prepare some of Andy's Favorites for us. You will have your choice of four. Please make your selection from the following and let me know as soon as possible. Everything needs to be turned in by May First - please do not delay.

Andy's Favorites
════════════

Breaded Fish & Chips served with fresh vegetable

Famous Chicken Pot Pie with savory chicken, fresh peas, carrots, celery and onions served with fresh vegetable.

Gourmet Vegetable Lasagna with fresh vegetables, blended cheeses and pasta layered with an Italian red sauce and served with garlicky cheese bread.

Mouth Watering Meatloaf served with mashed potatoes, creamy brown gravy and fresh vegetable.

Your dinner will include coffee or tea, bread service and dessert will be Chef's choice. A diabetic dessert is available upon request. Please specify with your dinner choice.

I don't think the airline I'm flying with has even scheduled their flights for September yet, so I don't know if I'll be able to get there in time for the early bird dinner.

If I sign up and don't make it in time for the dinner, will you pack me a doggie bag, jayardi????? LOL

Well, at least Lois knows what airline she's flying. I haven't even decided whether I'm driving, DH is driving, or I'm flying. I haven't even given any thought to room reservations. However, I do know what I'm bringing for Show and Tell, LOL.

I have 210 days until I have to be there, so that's plenty of time. Gulp.

Here's another PIC of the fabulous restaurant ... and I guarantee you ... WHATEVER you choose, it will be FABULOUS !!! These recipes are from Andy's mom's own cookbook, and these are what HE ate as a boy growing up ... so they are delicious as well as treasured! Smile

NOW take your time Smile Now if you need a guinea pig to test it all out, I will give give give and go down there and have lunch and try all the choices (altho not all at once Smile) I've been dying to try the pot pie ! Smile

I'm not asking for anything differnt, my question about shrimp is not because I want shrimp but because usualy when they have fish and chips they also have shrimp and they fry the fish in the same oil that they fry the shrimp. I can not eat shrimp and I also can not eat fish or fries that have been fried in the same oil as the shrimp. So I will probuly go for the meatloaf.
As for the desert some times the diabetic desert is not as good for you as the regular desert. I'm still thinking ...thinking ... thinking... But if you go try the pot pie let me know how it is.
Any time I eat at a new place I always ask a lot of questions, I would rather the waitress think that I'm a pain in the po____t than go home and be sick.

I can hardly wait - MEATLOAF never makes it's way to my house ... DSIL does almost all the cooking and he is attached at the hip to the broiler or grill.
So .. meatloaf for me ... my mouth is already watering.
I love fish n chips, but I'd be afraid of getting catfish and ain't no way it's crossing this city girls lips!
PS ... sign me up Smile thank you - looks like a wonderful place to get us all together.
