I want to welcome all of you crazy quilters on this forum to take part in a quilt show dedicated to showing off the art form of crazy quilting. I will be hosting this show on my blog on May 1, 2013.

There are 2 ways to take part...

(1) I will have a linky party on my blog for those of you with blogs to come and link up to a blog post on your blog showing off some of the things you have crazy quilted in the past. On May 1, you will create your blog post and then come link up on my blog directly to your post so my readers who come through can click on your link and be taken over to your blog.

(2) For those of you who do not have a blog... You can still participate by emailing me a short story about your crazy quilting and include photos of your crazy quilted pieces. I will create a special page on my blog just for your story.

Competition Part

There is also going to be a competition part of the show...

You can create a new crazy quilted piece to enter in a chance to win several prizes!

Everyone is cordially invited to submit one (single) piece for competition.

The piece for the 2013 show MUST be brand new, never seen before by anyone.. and this also includes throughout the stages of its creation!

Your piece can be anything you want it to be.. It does not have to be a quilt.

DUE DATE FOR COMPETITION PIECES: Your photos for the competition MUST be TO me by April 25, 2013 so I will have time to set up a photo album for the show.

Submissions for photos of competition pieces close at 12:01 a.m. on April 26 so be sure your photos are in before midnight on April 25. The competition pieces will be ready to view for voting at 12:01 a.m. on May 1 when the show goes live on my blog.

This gives you 4 months to work on a new piece to enter in the show!

Winners will be decided by blog readers. The readers coming through my blog will email me with their choice of favorite competition piece. The piece with the most votes will win the top award.

There will be 4 winners prizes awarded!

I am acquiring prizes now and they are fantastic. You can go to my blog back to February 2012 to see all of the prizes awarded in the 1st annual show. I am trying to obtain even more prizes than I had last year!

So, if you want to join in on a fabulous crazy quilt show, print off this post and keep it in view and don't forget to come and take part. I will put out reminders along the way.

I've been working on my CQ piece off and on for the past couple of months... it will depend on how it turns out as to whether or not I submit this piece or a different piece.

ummm.....I haven't been doing any crazy quilting lately, maybe this will get me back into it.
