DD ( Janice) and I will be flying into Branson on Thursday around two PM--will send you the exact time on the e mail, but we are going to be renting a car so she'll be able to go and come as she pleases (looking for scrapbooking stores ) while I am busy "retreating". Ardy

no ... you'd probably be right on time, or close to it We'll get yo checked in and wash your hands, then head to the food We'll be loading up the shuttle about 5:30 for those that want to go on wheels ... dinner starts @ 6, and it's close enough to walk It might be a little up hill ...
Hey Muggo ~ if your plane lands at 4:30 in Branson ... then you should be at the hotel like 5:00 ... is that plenty of time? We are not far from the airport, depending on traffic, of course ... but we have maps for back roads
I have been trying to decide what to do. Didn't really want to drive. Have been checking airfares from Cleveland and there is not available that is reasonable. Have a DD#2 in Indy as I thought I could also leave from there, so will keep looking. Anyway, it is depressing me.

Mary, you will be just fine with whatever you choose. I always count on seeing your smile, so just make sure you get there, okay?
I'm definitely flying. I just accepted a long-term sub job in kindergarten (someone hit me, please), so I will need to fly in on Thursday and out on Sunday. So far the only airline is AirTran, so that's what I'll be doing. Just need to check with DH on the credit card — which one to use.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO doing the H~A~P~P~Y danace right now cause just booked my flight thru AirTran!! I've been watching flights and they were about $400-$500+ and when I was checking emails [a bit ago] I read one from Fishingwidow and she said she was finding the same prices and didn't like that they were so expensive SO I decide to go check again and the price I got TODAY was $228.70...I booked right away!! I'm flying in on wed and leaving the following wed. I was happy to find a flight out of a smaller airport than 'Detroit Metro' and flying out of 'Flint'!!! Chceck your flights now...it's usually cheaper to book on tues or wed!!!!!
I called Lindsay and she told me that Southwest just bought out AirTran. All I have to say is "IS IT SEPT YET????
Can't wait to see/meet everyone!!!!!

If it is the same--we are renting a car but don't know how long will take if you rather go by shuttle--I PROMISE--it won't take as long as it took me to get you to the train depot in Portland!!!LOL--you didn't think I was going to make it did you?? (Neither did I!!)

Not going to the retreat, but am flying to Wisconsin in Sept for a class reunion. Have 2 flights each way and so far all 4 flights have been changed since I first made my reservations. Has this happened to anyone flying to Branson? Getting their flights changed by the airline? Guess my first mistake was booking United as their hub is Chicago, where I transfer... Chris

Pegsami, I will be transfering to that flight in Denver. If it is the same flight I will be happy to hitch a ride with the two of you. When we get to Branson we have until 5:30 to check in before we miss dinner. So I think we will have lots of time. I'm thinking of hitting the Quilted cow on Monday.(If my ride will take me by it.)

In my experience, airlines do change flights after you have booked. I will wait until we're a little closer to September (c'mon!) to give Lindsey all of the details just in case they change.

If anyone needs/wants to be picked up as we travel along 78/76 in PA, 70 in OH, IN, IL & MO, let me know! We have room for one or two people (depending on the ammount of stuff we bring.)

I will be coming in at 11:01 am on Thursday, unless they change my flight. I decided this made the best sense for me, as I only have to take off work for 5 days. Tammy

I am going to miss you at the retreat. I will never forget how we meet on the plane going to Portland. The ride to the hotel was also so much fun with EB.

I would say getting there is half the fun, but I've been to two retreats and so that doesnt (quite) apply here. BUT I have always had a complete blast driving around with ladies from the quilt boards I really hope someone does want to join us to make the trip rowdier

you're right, Jane, with a message board buddy or three getting there is half the fun! I had such a good time driving to Charlotte with WarmBuns, SueB & Ekbuckeye!!! It's like the party starts the minute you get in the car, lol.
Right now mom and I figure to drive down. Leaving monday or tuesday and taking time to drive down then come back tuesday or so following week. Will mapquest closer to time. Leaving from Manistee Michigan area. Just waiting for ex to pay what owes from divorce before finalize plans. I have stomach thing that just means have to stop every couple hours for quick bathroom break and stretch the legs.
