I was given the t shirts cut out but not backed...needless to say this was quite a job. Mom did not know about seam allowances either!
Much easier to cut them out after splitting the side seams and adding backing. You probably had to sew thru some of the plastic too. Yikes! Of course the quilt will be treasured. You did a great job!
Looks terrific. I'm sure Toni will love it!
Good looking t-shirt quilt!
Does this hat make my butt look big?
Very, very nice! I am gearing up to get started on a couple of these...anxious about it!
Well Alex, this was a challenge for me, I am matchy matchy, but with the way the shirts were cut I just had to add borders and sew strips together then cut width. I sewed a few patches on top after quilting and was fairly pleased with the end result.
The quilt looks so good, loved the idea of adding the small patches on top of others.
Terrific job SandyO, especially considering the challenge presented.
wow! that took a lot of figuring! Great job!!
my philosophy: there are no real mistakes in quilting, just design opportunities!!
Looks great Sandy!!!
What a job! You did great and it looks fabulous!
I love it. I was asked to make one but was never given the t-shirts. Hard to make one without the t-shirts!!lol
