I would like to make a jelly roll race quilt baby size. Maybe 42x 36 Do I just use 1/2 roll? Any help really appreciated. Thank you.

Using 1/2 a JR sounds right, but I saw one made like the bigger quilt only it used 1/2 strips of the whole JR, starting with a 10" piece. Turned out pretty using kind of shabby chic fabrics.
