I love it too! I got a free pattern off the web. Youngest DD wants it in bright colors for her wedding quilt. Looks easy enough to make. There's so many possibilities with this pattern!
I was actually gonna make her a quilt using the wedding ring but this one is so much easier!!
That piecing is very unique to me. It looks like a split rail on the diagona? I've done a couple of zigzag baby quilts but used HST's. Obviously I like brights. I have a taupe fabric I've been wanting to use and this method would be fun to try. TFS
HST's!!!! My world so changed when I discovered hsts. Eveyln...your quilting is gorgeous!!!
The first piehjcing is amazing! No way could I lay that out on the floor without my helpers re-arranging the formation!!!! It's beautiful! This message has been edited. Last edited by: nancyc20,

There is a baby quilt book out there somewhere that used this pattern with 'heads' and jiggly eyes sewn on some of the zigs turning them into friendly snakes. All the zags were the same colour. I made one for DD1 dorm room.

I glanced thru some quilt magazines at WM this afternoon and the gray quilt method was in it. I think it was Scrap Quilts. Sure is a neat way to do it. I woukdn't have noticed it without this posting. TFS I learn something here daily
BTW is that B@ptist fans quilted on the baby quilts. Lovely with those borders. Evelyn
