Do you want to get one finished???

Then sign up for Project Quilting/Needlework Challenge #6.

I love watching Project Runway and I love the challenges. I love quilting and I love quilting challenges. Last year I got to thinking about how to put this together and I think I have figured out a way. I got some of my ideas from Kim's Crafty Apple which I had thought about joining but the turnaround time is every other week -- too much for me!

So, for the past year I've shared my version of it and here's the scoop for the final challenge:

Sign ups begin today for Challenge #6 - this will be the last one.

For this challenge participants will have 4 1/2 months to complete their project. To enter you will need to send me $5.00 = > $1.00 for the monthly prize kitty and $4.00 for the year end prize. You will be signed up after I receive the money. Send me a check, cash or you may paypal me. PM me if you don't have my address.

Sign ups will go until October 31 & all money has to be to me by then also. You will have until November 5, 2012 to send me a picture of the UFO you have selected to finished. It can be no more than 50% completed.

Photos and the story behind the finished project MUST be sent to me via email by Feb 19, 2013. If I don't get the photo AND the story by the due date you will not be eligible to WIN a prize. I will post the photos and the stories on flickr and the general HGTV forum public will have 10 days to be able to vote for their ONE favorite.

If you watch Project Runway you will know that Tim and/or Heidi often pop in with a "twist" to the challenge - well, I am warning you now that there will be one later Wink

Are you in? Then "let's make it work"

• • • I'll have to do some digging. What do you consider 50%?

I have one that just needs the rows put together and then quilting. Considering the size, and the amount of quilting needed, I think it is less than 50%. Would You?

Then sign me up.

hmmmm, hmmmmmm, hmmmmm

Firstly, I don't have any UFOs, I have WIPS. They are just progressing very slowly, almost stagnating.

Secondly, seeing how your Mug Rug challenges have motivated me, maybe I could get a WIP finished.

Thinking, thinking.

WIPs would work for this challenge...As long as they haven't progressed too far.

The only comment that came to mind when I read the title of this post was:

"Does Carter have liver pills?" Smile If I didn't have UFO's I wouldn't feel like I had anything to do....that's my story, I'm sticking to it.

Ohhh, Royalbloomer. That's good!!!

I think I burned myself out when I made the king sized quilt for my kids so most of my things are 40" or less. And the WIPs I do have seem to be blocks cut or made, or about 75% complete. Not much in between.

Perhaps I'll just play along with you in hopes of getting some or at least one of my WIPs completed.

Good luck to all those that participate.

In my move I have sorted out at least one bin of UFO/WIP Smile ... question...a stack of blocks from a swap, blocks are complete and not put together...would that qualify? Or were you thinking something a little further along?

KC1950 - that sounds like it is too finished for this

Aliquilt - that would be perfect!
