Welcome to the Sunshine Quilters - our website is http://webpages.charter.net/cmladronka/
Our mission is to bring sunshine into the life of our receivers.

Each member is asked to make a block for the assigned host each month. The host then assembles and donates quilts to the children's charity of their choice. Some help by making more than one block for a host or by sending other supplies to the host.

To join, post on this thread your intention to join and send an email to Char77. Rosy is the dear lady who came up with this wonderful project, we are very thankful to her for this unselfish endeavor. Please be sure to put "Sunshine Quilter" in the subject line of the email. Someone will send you directions and information.

Some of our members have just started quilting, while others have been at it for a while. We can use everyone's help. You can choose to host a month and donate to the charity of your choice as well as making blocks to send out to listed hosts.

Blocks are to be sent to the host members around the 1st of their month. If late, email the member with your intentions to send later. If you can't make a block that month, that's ok, sometimes life is too busy. Post here and perhaps someone can send extra blocks to the host that month.

The list of monthly hosts and their choice blocks (with links) is posted at the "Sunshine Quilter's website indicated above.

Not much sewing at this house in several weeks. Think I'm caught up through this month on blocks. Now have to find time to make blocks for the rest of the year.

Hope everyone is enjoying and surviving the hot, humid summer months.

I've been checking - not much conversation here. I miss the friendly "voices" Everyone OK? I got the email, unfortunately - I am not computer literate nor have time to be a "list mom" Hope someone has a happy solution. This is a great group of women with kind hearts. Cindy

I have missed the postings also. I hope that someone steps up and volunteers to continue the group. I cannot do it at this time too many other commitments.

Um, haven't been around - from the last two postings I think an email went out about char leaving her position. I changed my email recently - will send her a PM to get the email.

Sorry if she's got to leave hostessing this.

I was getting stuff ready for 'quilt camp'. I hope to get back to SS blocks this week. I'll probably try to finish up what is requested for the rest of the year. Just seems easier to do when you already have stuff out.

It has been quiet around here. KC, sorry, no I didn't see your message before. This month I have received fabulous blocks from: Ajne, Elainetoo, Char77, Patricia, and ?? the label I attached to the blocks is missing. I have done no sewing this month at all Frown continuing family drama boooo....and weather has been too summery and I've spent lots of quality time with grandkids, figure soon they won't want to see me. I have a date with the machine today.

Unless something happens to give me more days in a week, I'll be behind for the next couple months in doing blocks. Still trying to get the StT challenge done by the deadline.. and expect to be spending the next few months mostly outdoors.

But I will get some blocks done for the Sept-Dec ladies as soon as I can.

well, elainetoo, since you get Sept blocks, you'll have at least a month to get Oct - Dec done Smile

I'll be sending these to you sometime this week - the colors look a bit dull, but they really are brighter.
