My first stab at applique today. You can't really see the anntennae, but there are thin purple lines there!

This is MUCH harder than I would have thought. I need lots of practice!

Of course, I'm stuck with a jamming up machine and can't finish the binding tonight! Frown

That's beautiful. I think you did a fantastic job. Is it machine applique?

Yes, I did it with the machine. Here's a closeup of one of the butterflies.

Great job! I can't do machine applique worth beans, so I applaud you for your efforts. It looks marvelous.

You did a great job. Most of us are so afraid of our machines we steer clear of appliqué. It is one of my favorite things to do by hand or machine. Its so pretty and you get to pick out whatever you want to add to your quilt block

Nora, you did a great job!!! I love those colors.

I'm not wonderful at machine applique either, but I like it whole lot better than hand applique!! That needleturn applique is so gorgeous, but I haven't gotten the hang of it yet for little pieces.

Now, Needlecrazy might not like machine applique, but let me tell you -- her hand applique is to die for!! Her name's not "needlecrazy" for nothing!!!

Pretty! I have never done machine applique, only hand applique. I like your helper, too, I have a halper. I always think he is watching the needle go up and down and what if he sticks his paw in there!!
