I'm going to put a sign in the window of my car to let you know I'm headin' for fun, won't you do the same??? I would love to know if I come upon a fellow retreater on our route.

Sounds like fun! But need to put COF in their somewhere!

However, DH decided he was tagging along and will do the driving most likely. He may veto the idea.

I had to come back and comment...my over protective mind kicked in...and I think putting your destination Branson, could possibly open you up for harm...instead of "Branson or Bust"...perhaps COF or Bust...imagine all the people along the way trying to figure out what the heck COF means...lol...I'm also one of those people who never stop at rest areas after dark or other unlit places if I can help it...and I always research my route, for gas stations, food, etc.
OK y'all can stop laughing at me now...I know I'm paronoid...as most people call it, but my sweet granny loved that i was practial and safe and in her words "prepared".. I just had to throw that out there knowing my sweet friends will be traveling soon!

• • • Wow SS, that was fast. Wink

I like the idea Lori, I'll be driving through most of Illinois, but it looks like I'm heading out a day earlier than originally planned, so I may not see anyone on the road. I'll make a placard just to be safe.

This is what we all need to do to our vehicles before we head out to Branson.

Our Maryland girls, EBQG, and the rest of them came to our Odenville retreat in this car. They glued to fabric to the car with the glue made from starch. They came thru a rain shower on the way and had to stop and spend several hours gluing the fabric back on.

Now ain't that just as cute as can be? Too bad that's not the logo on the t-shirts; they really would be conversation starters, LOL.

Gonesewin, when you come through Missouri, will you be on I-57 or I-55? I live where the two meet in SE MO. Are you going to stop at Lamberts?

I love the fabric glued to the car but I don't think DH would let me do that, especially since ours is only about 4 months old. But I have saved SS's picture and printed it out to put in the window. See y'all in September!!!

Meme, I didn't know you were there! We travel through there at least once a year on the way to visit the kids. I seldom get to stop at Lamberts cause DH doesn't really like it. Love those throwed rolls.
