COF RETREAT BOUTIQUE

There has been a lot of interest in having a boutique at the retreat this year so you will be glad to know that there will be one set up this year at the retreat for some of you who are interested in selling some of your crafts to your retreat friends. We will have a tables set up for displays of your wares. If you are interested in having a space at the boutique table, here is some information concerning it & what you must do to be an included vendor:

1. Boutique times will be Friday & Saturday nights from 7:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
2. There will be room for about 10 vendors so you will need to register EARLY to be guaranteed a spot. We will have a waiting list if more register than we can supply a table for. This way if someone drops out you still may be able to get a table.
3. You will be responsible for bringing your own table covering for your table (tables will be provided). I will let you know the size of the tables as soon as I can get that information.
4. Send a PM to me for registration that includes your board name, e-mail address & phone number. Please include a brief description of the items that you will be selling at your table.
5. You might want to bring some small, printed cards with your name & e-mail address to pass out in case someone wants to get in touch with you after retreat to purchase more of your items.

This will be a special time to show off some of the unique, handcrafted beauties that many of you make and with Christmas just around the corner after retreat, it will be a perfect opportunity for your quilting buddies to buy some great gifts for the season.

DON'T FORGET - THE AMOUNT OF TABLES AVAILABLE ARE LIMITED SO THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM.

Sign ups:
1. sewlove2quilt - beaded things/pins, COF patches, lace embroidery, etc.
2. Toryam - beaded needle threaders & thimble rings
3. LaceAngel - seasonal table runners/seasonal wall hangings & small purses
4. bluesnail - hand knitted dish cloths
5. crazy'boutquilts - wallets
6. Shawkl - books, patterns, etc. (maybe)
7. NT Quilter - misc. sewn items
8.

No, Jayardi I won't be able to come. I'm just a "behind the scenes" helper. I would love, love, love to go to a retreat (especiall this one) but I don't see that in my life right now.

We have another who has reserved a table. Handmade things are so special.

Surely there is more than just four who want to sell some wonderful hand made goodies. Anyone else want to be added to the list?

Who else would like to reserve a table at retreat to sell their quity/needlework/sewing/etc. projects? This will be a great time to get some things just before Christmas. That's a win/win situation...sellers make some money for Christmas/fabric, etc. & buyers find really unique item for Christmas gifts.

August is flying by & before you know it the retreat will be here.

Does anyone else want to reserve a vendor table to sell a few of your hand made items. There are still tables available. Please don't wait to make your reservations as final arrangements are having to be pulled together before the BIG EVENT. Thanks!

Nicki, I sure hope you are right about retreaters wanting to spend money on our handcrafted items cause I won't have much spending money unless I sell LOTS/all of my boutique items! Wink

I have started working on them, too! Big Grin

SS, were your ears ringing??? I was just talking to my friend about contacting you and asking if you'd be willing to do this. I told her that I might not cause you'll have SOOOOO much stuff to pack/take that it'd be something more for you to keep track of. She suggested me contacting the hotel and having it shipped to them...???

I have been working on my items...will let you know what I decide to do...if I decide to mail them & where I'll send them to.

Thanks for the offer...you sure are a sweetie!!!! Big Grin

SEWLOVE and anyone else who might be wanting to mail ~

I can find out the procedures for mailing to the hotel if you want, but after last year's snafu with me mailing to NC, I would suggest mailing them to me at my home ... I THINK everyone has my address Smile

Just PLEASE MAIL THEM BY MONDAY SEPT 10th, so I can be sure they are here before I go packing up stuff for retreat ... that will give it plenty of time
