Tonight the designers go to the gorgeous Radio City to be inspired by the famous Rockettes. Debra Messing is the guest judge. Preview editing leads you to believe that Tim has to scold the entire class mid-design and take them back to Mood.

And I may not see this episode because...drum roll...I'll be in NYC! Cool Not sure the hotel gets Lifetime, so I might have to catch the episode later. Meanwhile, I'll wave to Parsons & Atlas & Mood for all of you! Wave

wonder what inspiration they will get at Radio City except for skinny dances and skimpy costumes? Certainly nothing we quilters would wear

Any patchwork or quilted item in the past has been described as "hippy, folksy or retro".

It seems every year they do a costume episode. They've done ice-skating, olympic team uniform and didn't they do a gymnastics one once? In any event, it required lycra, jersey or polyester.

Well... If you had put Dimitri's skirt bottom on the one that won, it would have been WAY over the top fantastic!

I thought it should win but then again I wanted Dimitri's to win too!

Lots of remote viewing this week! Smile

Dmitry's was cool but I thought too edgy for Rockettes. The judges tried to emphasize how G-rated the show has to be. Nice try, D -- loved the fringe. Christopher needed to take the black color + fringe from that outfit & add it to his NYC design. Awesome idea of the skyline and so easy to work into a dance number. But the color choice was too blah, I thought (as I looked out my window into the BLACK NYC skyline last night...).

All 3 girls came up with hot messes, but I guess were kept on due to their track records. Sonjia keeps soaring and then folding! Melissa, too. Maybe Elena will go next, if she has a fit about not designing for babies.

Bubbye to Ven, who thought he could cruise thru PR making roses and origami. When those were taken away, he had no other trick. And these are skinny girls, Ven! Bubbye. It was time.

I haven't seen the whole episode yet, only the end. Glad Ven left. I agree, if he can't make a rose he can't do the project. I liked the two that were in the top.

LOL - I was in Mood this morning & saw Sonjia's purple feather trim. Pulled it out to look. Folks, it was no prettier in person than on TV! Don't know what she was thinking. It was $19.95 a yard. They must get wholesale pricing.

Swatch wasn't in today...even his bowl was empty. Frown

I woke myself up to watch. I think I should've slept. I thought Chris's was unique but like others-don't think it would project well from stage to audience. It lacked PiZAZZ. I thought Dimitri's was cool but didn't see any test kicks to know the modesty factor. A headdress might've helped one or both. JMHO. The cigarette girl's was too short and too boxy. Not a good dance outfit. Ah well-if left to me-I probably wouldn't have come up with anything either. But it would be blue or red-favorite colors.

Yep...I agree about the bottom of Dimetrii's dress on Christopher's. Would be a ROCKET!!!!!

Ven's was duller than dirt. wow...I thought he was more inventive than that. They also edited conversations so he seemed nicer. apparently editing can lead us to all kinds of conclusions!!!!!!!

Just watched this afternoon. I love Dmitry, I think he should have won. The outfit that won needed to have a different skirt on it, I din't think it would look good when they do the high kicks. I don't think the people sitting in the balcony would be able to distinguish the skyline very well.

I have a sneaking suspicion Dimitri might win the whole thing...he or Christopher.

Yeppers, I'm thinking Dimitri or Christopher will win. Dimitri has been cool through the whole process. No meltdowns. Glad Ven is gone-he certainly showed his true colors with the makeover challenge. I haven't like him since and he made that poor woman cry!!

I love Sonja's jackets. Melissa and Elena have really struggled. You have to be able to make ANYTHING!! Not just the same thing over and over.
