My name is on the list of participants, but almost as quickly as I sketched up a design, I was called across the country to be by my sister's side. I let Quiltaholic know right away that I'd have to pull out of the Challenge, which was sad to do; the name of the Challenge hit a beautiful chord with me. Now that I'm back from my trip to the Pacific Northwest, I'm catching up on all the news - I am so interested to see what everyone has designed!
I am happy that Quiltaholic decided to keep my name on the list... From the sideline, I'm cheering you all on. Smile

Hi everyone, Like Jessicasews I had to pull out also. I loved the picture and even got my fabric, but that's as far as it has gotten I'm sad to say. I do intend to do it, but I know it will never be done by mid August.
I too am glad my name is still on the list _ I can't wait to see what you have all done with this.

Hello stitch friends! I, too, have had many obstacles in my path this spring and summer which have delayed my working on my piece for this challenge...however...I did finally begin!! yea! Have to say, though, that the work going on in the piece on my work table is not what I had originally planned! The art seems to be directing the artist here and I am trying to just let it flow but it is difficult! We will see what I end up with!! Thanks, Miss Q, for another interesting challenge!
Q - there is no way I will get this done. Life is very busy right now and I won't be able to start anything for fun until after the new year.

not exactly what I had in mind but not going to do any backing up on this project...actually, don't even really know what I had in mind! Anyhoo, just hoping to have an interesting finished product to share. We'll see!
If you would like to send your thought processes or a write up of any kind, that is ok and I will put it on the post with your anonymous photos when it comes time to vote.

ha! You know how sometimes you work and work to make something work that isn't quite right and every once in a while you actually get it to work but most of the time it just doesn't? This was definately a "doesn't!" Took the offending things off and am much happier but now have to rethink the plan...no worries...coming along and will definately be ready by showtime...

BlueSkies7 has dropped out due to my Mom being in the hospital. Sorry to not be able to finish with the others, but she is taking all of my focus right now.

Sara, thinking of you and your Mom right now...
Regarding my "Lean On Me" project...I have had to let it sit while finishing up a couple of other projects but am approximately 2/3 completed at this point and will be finished in time for the show!
oh Miss Q...just to clarify...pix are due to you by midnight Eastern time the night of the 15th, right? I usually don't cut it this close and can't say that I am enjoying it now but it is what it is!
midnight eastern time... so that gives you 3 more hours past the stroke of midnight on the 15th... well, the wee early morning hours of the 16th actually... hehehe
