Sew & Tell is our weekly sharing thread. Tell us what you've finished, what you're working on- we're here to cheer you on!

I actually had a finish! I'll be back after work to post a pic of a cuddle quilt that I finished and gave to my friend as a retirement gift!

So what are you working on?

Shabby Heart is UFO Finish #3 for 2013 and #19 since 10/1/2012.

The pattern for this quilt is called "Heather's Lacy Heart" from the book "Quick & Easy Romantic Quilts". It measures 53" by 57" and is made from Robyn Pandolph fabrics except for the heart/binding fabric which is from Blackbird Designs. I started this quilt in 2007 and it was professionally quilted by Nancy Clayburn of Quilting by Design last month.

Just finished some burp cloths for DH's niece who is expecting their first little one in March and don't want to know the sex beforehand. Need to do more for DS's brother-in-law who are expecting their 2nd in August and also don't want to know the sex.

EvelynB made a C'mas tree skirt using boots, and posted last year. She was so nice to let me use her design. Here are the 8 boots, now to work on the rest of it.

I LOVE seeing what everyone has done... and especially love the shabby heart Smile Everything is so kid oriented right now Smile

This is a project I made for my Precious for her Kindle... she dropped her other I-toy last night and so I thought this might help her out. She loves it, cause her favorite thing is peace signs Smile

Rainbow, good for you, what machine did you get? Bet your grand will love her quilts.
All nice projects this week. I've been sewing, but can't show what I was working on. It is supposed to be a secret for a Whole Year. I know I'm not going to make it.I'm loving how the blocks are turning out. Can't wait to show someone besides DH who looks and says something like that is nice, but doesn't understand how it takes so long to do.
Precious, you are turning into a very nice young lady. Keep smiling. Pat

Been away from the Board for a while, but here's my recently finished baby quilt for our December grandson in CA! It's paper-pieced and each of the 20 blocks has 3-4 sections with up to 18 pieces/section! Needless to say, it took me a while to finish the top and two hours before we flew to CA to see this new addition, I was still quilting and binding it!! Wink (We quilters are a crazy bunch, aren't we? Or, heaven forbid, is it just me???)

Some nice projects this week! Love those paper pieced trucks. That one is so adorable.
The kindle keeper is really neat and your Precious looks thrilled with her gift. She has a beautiful smile.
Rainbow's zig zag will be a hit at the bday party.
Those boots are terrific. I don't remember seeing EvelynB's tree skirt, but I'll look forward to this one.
Jayardi, that's one gorgeous t-shirt quilt. I really like the interest you added with the various settings.
Bunnybcb, adorable baby things. I know they'll be used ... often.
simplelife, Nice vibrant PL quilt. The heart is quilted beautifully. I always love it when I can see the quilting in the photos. Way to go on finishing 4 UFOs already!
I've been working on a few things, but nothing to show this week.

Elsie, love the fabric choices for the boots. You did a great job piecing them. Look forward to seeing the finished project.

Pat, your paperpiecing is awesome. I might have managed one of those vehicles but never that many. Only for a grandchild!

I couldn't just sit while I watched the pagentry this morning so I crocheted a dust bunny pincushion. Got to give it a better hare cut though. My next one will be smaller. I've got eyes for six more.

patty j, l got a Brothers SQ 9050 from Walmart. Not the upgrade l had hoped for but at least it works! And it has lots of features my 35 year old Kenmore didn't have. Smile

My DGD loved her quilt. She even let me take a pic of her with it and l usually have to chase her with the camera to get a pic!

Pat, that quilt is amazing!
Evelyn, that's a cute bunny!

Looking at the picture of the boots, I suddenly realized why I had an extra 2" square of fabric for each of the last 5 boots I pieced. Smile It's fixed now, and I've completed the center section. Hope to show the completed top next weekend.

After making the dustbunny pincushion I took a break to open the basket of goodies I got at the guilt a couple of weeks ago. Amazingly there was a pattern called Dustbunny Quilt by Becky Jackson in it. I grabbed the scraps of yarn from my trash bag and made this wallhanging. It's for my entry hall. Think I need to make a dozen of the pincushions to go with it. In the sashing it says "No cleaning allowed" and "this is a dustbunny sanctuary".

How cute Evelyn! I wouldn't have to use scraps of yarn - just need to coax all the dog hair into a pile! I am amazed that my dogs have hair when I see all they leave on the floor!!!

Thanks, FFGirl. I crocheted another smaller dustbunny tonight. I hung the wallhanging in my entryway and sat the two dustbunnies on the entry table in front. Then to be sure they weren't lonesome I swept some real dustbunnies from under the table and added to my collection! With a black cat there's always plenty.
