KC1930 and I are looking to arrange a get-together of Board members from Maine. The Ohio gals are such an inspiration!
Any takers??

Sounds like so much fun! I wish I were a "Mainer" so I could join you but being a "Minner" I'm kinda far away. I hope a bunch of gals will join you. Good luck with the planning.

Happy Stitching...Lois

I have the same problem Chanlady! I am in NYC and there aren't too many around here within a short driving distance either. I'm happy to have a few people over anytime Sun-Thurs - after I move in Nov/Dec tho Smile

Hey, KC1930 and I get together about once a year for shopping and lunch. I'd like to join in for a Maine Meeting of quilters.
Sign me up.

When were you all hoping to get together? Are you thinking long range plans or are you planning for this to happen within days/weeks?

Where in Maine are you?

It would be nice to do it before the snow flies (which could be anytime here in Maine! Smile)

I like the idea of having a quilting item wrapped in fabric for kinda a "Yankee Swap", along with a show-and-tell.

Perhaps if we could get enough ladies together we could find a restaraunt with a room so we could all sit together, maybe in the Portland area?

In that way, you can stop into Marden's in Scarboro (only a few miles from the Maine Mall area) to shop for fabric!

Sounds good to me. I'll have to check the calender, but for sure before the snow. I go to the Mardens in Brewer, but I'm always up for checking out the others.
Lens, if you wanted to come, you could stay with me on the way to Portland.

Judy

Hey Judy, just checking to see if you are able to come (with Lens, of course!)
