While I was waiting at the doc's office to see what was wrong, hoping something was wrong, I found this. Cheered me up immediately.
Cut two 18" circles of white fleece.
Measure in 3" from edge and make a mark on one of the pieces. Move over 1" and make another mark. Continue around the circle.
(There is supposed to be a pattern and template at www.familyfunmag.com for the stitching but I couldn't find it.) Soooo I suggest you draw an arc that resembles where the stitching would go and then....
Make 3/8" slits in the top piece of fleece on that arc. Take either a red or white shoelace and put a knot in the end of it, then weave the shoelace through the slits. Knot the end when you finish and trim excess shoelace off.
Cut two pointed ovals of brown fleece 16 1/2" x 21 1/2". Mark as with the baseball around the perimeter.
Find the center of the top piece and mark for the lacing as shown in the photo and slit. Weave with a white shoelace.
Lay your pieces of fleece together and pin to hold in place. Then cut the fleece using your marks as your guide. You will have fringe about 3" long.
Begin tying the fringe together, top and bottom.
Stop at the last 2 to 3". This is where you will stuff your pillow. Once it is stuffed to your satisfaction, tie the remaining fringe.
Those are really cute. Would make nice toss pillows for a boys room. Looks quick and easy, could be made in time for Christmas.
Quick and easy cub scout project, Don't think it would be too expensive either.
Thanks, Blue Skies. Revisiting an old problem. There is nothing like having to go through old stuff again. I'm one of those 'been there done that and don't want to do it again' kind of persons. So it's more disgust than problem.
I think these would be great pillows for a family room or hang out kind of place. Really couldn't be simpler, I don't think.
I just love these Paus and they would be adorable in Caleb's room, his theme is sports...so these are just adorable, and would be a FUN project to do together while he is on summer break after Christmas before he goes back to school the end of January LOVE it!

There is no one in my family that is into sports but I saw these and thought they'd be great to make, just cuz.
