It’s time for; IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! IT’S MY BIRTHDAY SWAP! 2013 BD FQ (Birthday Fat Quarter) sign-ups. Come join the fun. Sign up starts now and will close November 15, 2011. Game; You get FQ’s that arrive in the mail the month of your birthday. Information needed; PM me with your board name, name, address, email address, phone #, birthday, and what kind or kinds of FQ’s you would like to receive (Please list 2 or 3). (Your email address and your phone# will not be shared.) Rules; PLEASE TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO CAREFULLY READ ALL THE RULES—IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE PM ME. December 1, 2012 you will get a list of everyone’s board name, name, address, birthday, and what kind of FQ they would like to receive from you. Use only good quality 100% cotton FQs. No thin or lightly woven fabrics, please. A Fat Quarter (FQ) is 18 inches by half the Width of Fabric (from selvage to selvage), but must not be less than 20 inches nor more than 23 inches. Please be sure not to send in a short piece! Please label your FQ’s washed or not washed. Please try to mail them out before the 1st of the birthday month. Post when and who you receive from. If you have any problems with your mailings please pm me. If you don’t think you can commit to the 12 months, then please do not sign up. Kay-lin, I won't make you wait. I've always wanted to do a string Amish quilt with half black and half solid colors. I rarely buy solid colors unless it is red, white or blue for my QWL pillowcases, so I need to expand my selection. Since there may be a lot of others that don't buy solids and don't have one from their stash to send, a regular 1/4 quarter yard is okay (so they won't be stuck with a ft qtr they won't use) or a fat quarter.
Think the solids is a first in the 5 years I have been in this swap. Never would have imagined I would request solids!!!! Chris

Amish black and solids will be beautiful. And it just so happens... yes, my LQS has been getting in some great solids ... and yes, I've just happened to pick up a few. They've been appealing to me more and more.
My choice this year isn't unique. In fact it would be a unique year if there weren't two or three or more requests for it.
