I found this in blog land. http://quiltingfiesta.blogspot.../01/3430-hexies.html

the quilt is only 31 X 38 and contains 3430 mini hexies. In one picture she shows the haxies with a penny! Wow!

Several years back at the Houston International Quilt Show, Japanese quilters had me in awe at the designs they were making/quilting out of 1/4" finished hexagons. ...Just went through the photos on my laptop so guess it was pre-2003.
