Very pretty shot and very pretty model!!

We had snow for the first time in my memory on Christmas eve! What I would've given as a kid for that!!!

I'm so jealous it looks beautiful. I went to Alaska over Thanksgiving hoping for snow and not even a flurry.

Beautiful picture. I hate to tell you, but that isn't exactly a blizaard, lol!

Kayla, come on up and visit me if you are looking for snow! We have lots and should get more today. But we consider it nice out today, it has warmed up to 16. Wink

Not exactly a blizzard...come to NY. We had 4 " of snow and most of the schools still opened.
Upstate NY where my son lives , the schools haven't closed for snow in 4 years. They don't even start counting until it reaches four inches.
When my sister lived in SC, I remember the airport closed on account a little snow because they have no snow removal equipment. Lol
BTW, I hate the snow...and NY too for that matter.

That would be more than a blizzard for us Smile. Enjoy the snow while it lasts, but don't go out and drive. We know how people down here can't function safely on the roads with any snow or ice Eek.

Oh Brandy, that is cold! Stay warm, girl, I'm not sure I would survive even one winter up there. Are you working on a snow fort?

LOL Yes. We do shut 'er down at the drop of a hat. Since going back to work full time, I've driven to work twice in new snow. Took me forever to get to work because I was stopping and taking pictures. So QUIET!

But I don't like to get out in it. We GRITS all know that our snow is wet snow.

Here's my Christmas snow...

Beautiful pictures. Weather man says we may get some flurries as far south as we are. Lots of times that means if you don't blink you can see some flakes in the air. If we do get any snow, it's wet and heavy and re-freezes into lots of ice. Not fun at all.

Beautiful picture!

Is there any other kind of snow besides wet? Lol
As a kid I always wanted to play in the snow (like u see on TV: snow angels, snow fort, snow balls) but 3 minutes & two (dirty!) snowballs later your pants are soaked, your gloves are soaked, is there anything more miserable, lol?

Toryam there is definetly dry snow. Usually happens when the temp. is way below freezing. It is not good for doing anything fun except for skiing. Can't make snowmen, forts or even a snowball. Driving in it when the wind is blowing is an accident waiting to happen. Another good thing about dry snow is that you don't have to shovel it. You can just sweep it away, but it might blow back. lol

Toryam, your blizzard is making a mess next door here in Alabama. Our city shut down - courthouse, DH's and my work as well as all the schools. We're waiting for our DD's to arrive home ... any second now.

Hate to put a dampner on anything but, try living in Alaska this week. They closed the schools because it was too warm!!!! The snow was melting and creating water hazards. lollll

It flooded here yesterday. My front yard is under water. Today more rain which has now turned to snow. Hopefully it won't amount to much.

See the above Michigan snow...that is why I live in northeast Texas! Snow here is generally gone in 2-3 days. And as a rule, we don't get snow every year. Of course global warming has been messing that up too. We had snow in 2010, two months apart in 2011, and this one Christmas Eve.

Everyone around here was so excited about the possibility of flurries. Got down to around 34 degrees and I saw a couple of flakes, DH had heavy frost on the windshield. It's supposed to stay lower 30's nights, around 60 during the day for a while, but thank goodness the rain finally stopped and we've had 2 days of sunshine to help us dry out!

Tory - I like your kind of snow. It is beautiful when it is falling and for a short time after it is done - then I'm very happy when it melts. We lost a lot of the last 20" snow from December but there is still some stubborn piles...we're going into the deep freeze next week - at least when it is that cold it doesn't snow Smile

I love your DD pic!
You got the tail end of the junk we've had. We got 10" on Christmas! Power out, dinner ruined-need I say more?? That only happens to us every so often.

I grew up in Chicago-real blizzard country!! You gotta keep a broom so you can find your car!

I love the snow when it first comes down and everything looks like it's covered in spun sugar. Then it gets yucky and dirty and I don't like it anymore!
