This is just two rows of oriental rectangles I added navy strips to and sewed together. I like them so far. I have enough for 8 across and 10 down. then maybe a solid navy border. I'm using scraps.

The beauty of using most Asian fabrics comes from the simplicity of the patterns they go best with. This promises to be a wonderful quilt.

Can you share the pattern, or where you got it from?

I actually just made mine up. I had some six inch strips so I cut the pieces out at 4x6 inches. then added two strips to the sides of 1 1/2 inches. you can make them any size, just must be square to fit.

ETA: A while back the ladies in the Chatterbox made a Chinese door for a Thanksgiving challenge. Same principle.
