Anyone use fabric panels? I guess this is a dumb question but... do these panels usually have finished edges? Are they only to be quilted? I have been looking at Japanese door curtains but I can't find one in the length I need. I'm thinking I might make something similar by using 2 fabric panels sewn together to get the correct length. Thanks for help.

Those are called Speeder quilts in my house...I think you have a wonderful design opportunity before you. Just go for it...and do finish all the outside edges...they usually do not come with finished edges..if we are talking about the same item
