It's for my DH's brother's wife. She was diagnosed yesterday with stage 3B lung cancer. They're trying to get an appointment with one of those cancer centers I know you've heard about. She is 64 ( a mere child -I'm 62) & seems calm about it all. I'd be freaking out!

Just asking for a few kind thoughts & prayers for her.

Thanks
Gina

Gina - my T's and P's are with you and your family. I really know how you feel. My DS found out two weeks ago that her cancer has spread to her lungs and she has a scan tomorrow to determine if it's operable (she lives in the UK and National Health is really a slow process).

Prayers go her way from me. Cancer is not the death sentence it used to be. my husband had stage 4 in 2001 and is still with us. Yes, there are times of treatment when it tough, but he had 6 years of only check-up and a ct once a year.

I will keep her in my prayers. I will be praying for a quick response from the medical teams that she will get in soon & have good doctors to help her during this time.

Sending hugs, T & Ps her way. She will find great support at a cancer center. The doctors there will be up to date on even the rarest forms of cancer. So many cancers are not the death sentence they used to be years ago. Please keep us posted.
