Our friend chris915 has lost her fight and has gone to heaven. We all know she's in a better place and is at peace.

I was fortunate to meet Chris and her husband Bobby and be with them twice in KY. They and my husband & I developed a close friendship and I will miss her very much. She had the best laugh, a wonderful sense of humor and I loved her as a sister... she called us "sisters of our heart".

I know many of you sent cards, and some sent tuck-ins, to Chris and Bobby and they did mean so much to them. Thank you for doing that.
I know too many have their address but if you'd like to send a card to Chris' husband Bobby send me a PM and I will share the address.

Seems G O D has taken quite a few of us from this board in the last year. I like to think they will all be together... quilting up a storm.

I do have her address and so I'll get a card in tomorrows mail.

What a lovely thought! We'll have plenty of time to finish UFO's there!!!! So sad she's gone from us now, though. Blessings to her family and husband.

My heart is heavy to hear this. She was my LSS a few years back and I got to know her a bit through that. I was looking forward to meeting her in person in Branson but I guess I'll have to wait for that meeting...

Malou, I'll bet Chris would say she was lucky to have found you too.
I didn't know her too well...but from what you have said I think this quote from Elizabeth Kubler-Ross is fitting...

"People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within."
Chris, so glad you are in a better place and without pain...you will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. My condolences go out to her DH & family. I joined the boards in 2004 but didn't really become active until 2008. Chris was the first one I sent blocks to help her with a quilt she was making for a young man (Christopher) who had been injured in a tractor accident. Rest in Peace, Chris.

what a lovely sentiment...and what a lovely lady Chris was, as Malou said her laugh was one of a kind and infectious, her sense of humor is unrivaled...although I never met her in person, she is embedded in my heart, we spent many hours on the phone, and shared many moments of laughter, moments of sadness and tears, followed by more laughter...she could always find good even in the bad, may our creator wrap you in his arms and welcome you home...you'll be another angel dancing in heaven tonight Group Hug

Thank you Malou, hugs for you, I share your heartache.

May her family find comfort in each other and the many wonderful memories she has left behind. My heart goes out to each of them, especially her husband who was there in sickness and in health...
