On July 4th one daughter lost her home to fire, the next month one daughter had severe damage due to wind and hail and this Thursday another daughter had her home damaged by tornado. Her house was twisted on the foundation and holes in her foundation, porch poles twisted, weatherhead pulled off house and gas lines broken. Thank G O D nobody was injured in any of this. Guess its true about things happening in threes. Although 4 months ago my sister lost her house to a fire... Surely 2013 will be a much better year......Thanks for listening to my saga...

Hugs, Linda

Thanks so much. Called my son to make sure his home was fine. lol And it wasn't damaged in the storm. Only have on other daughter and she lives with us. I'm putting a hedge of protection around our house.. The last two years have not been the greatest. Lost two younger brothers and husband had esophagael cancer. Still dealing with problems he had from surgery but thankfully, surgery got rid of cancer. Life does go on.

Hugs,
Linda

I am so sorry for your family. What a terrible summer for all of you. Sending lots of good thoughts for speedy resolutions to everyone's difficulties.

It's funny you mentioned about things happening in three's.

I lost my companion, almost lost a very dear friend, and a third is going in for serious surgery on Wednesday. All within one month. I'm praying that goodness as well as tragedy occurs in threes.

...dear friends, I did not ask Linda if I could say this .. but I chatted with her last week and know there were losses with the fire - and she has hasn't asked for or mentioned needing, any help. But who doesn't need SOMETHING after all that devastation? A friend and I are getting a couple of little things together, but I happen to know her 14 year old granddaughter lost all her BEANIE BABY collection! If any one has a Baby or 2 to share, I have an address for sending it - just PM me and I'll get you connected.
Thank you so much - I know how much it means to have our friends on here step up and care.

Linda, it's been a bad year for me too. My youngest son is getting a divorce and my DIL moved over 200 miles away with my 11 month old grandson, my husband got bite by our son's cat, ended up with cellulitis and in the hospital for 4 days and my only living brother died August 10th from a massive heart attack.

Wanna get together for a drink, lol? (wink)

...well i don't know what just happened, I tried to do an update and got the admin thing about a trig ger word ... NO idea what it was, but will try again .... ---- just looked down and saw the 'g' word so I out spaces in it. This is straight out of her PM in answer to request for suggestions :
"As for ideas, I know they have lost all their Christmas ornaments and decorations. Small things like potholders or things like that would help. Coral is going to decorate with a wine theme in her kitchen. This means so much to them and me. It truly brings tears to my eyes, thinking how great people are in a disaster. G o d Bless you all.
