.. I was gifted by Fleur55 (sorry about giving you up dear friend) just a thank you for convincing her to join HGTV!!!! and it's so darn cute I don't want to set even a cup of water on it ..
those teensy spools are wrapped in fabric from the checkerboard, and one end is left unpainted so you can use as the KING when you get across the board! That storage bag even has a matching ribbon tie Smile Long side is almost 12" she said it's too big to be a mug rug ... works for me!!!


I cannot change 'things', but I can change how I feel about them. Me.

Glad you like the checkerboard CitySandie, had lot of fun making it. It is to big for a regular mug rug, I think it is just the right size for 2 mugs on the rug Smile

Luvthosequilts, no the center is not woven, they are 3/4" squares. It does look woven, it was a fun project. Maybe the next one will be a bit larger Smile
