Good idea....if we make it ourselves? More Play, Less Cleanup If you’ve ever picked up a zillion Lego pieces, tried to corral a fleet of Hot Wheels cars, or painstakingly plucked Polly Pocket pieces from the carpet, you’re going to love this solution. The Lay-n-Go activity mat provides a place for kids to play with their toys and makes cleanup a cinch… literally. The five-foot round mat is threaded with a durable nylon cord. When you’re done playing, simply pull the drawstring tight, cinch it with the cord lock, and you’ve got a soft, sealed storage bag. There’s a front pocket for stowing the drawstring, four clear pockets for storing extra-special pieces, and a wide nylon shoulder strap for carrying. The outside fabric is denim, and the play surface is easy-clean nylon. Amy Fazackerley, a mom of three boys, is the inventor. After a few too many lost Amy Fazackerley pieces and chaotic cleanups, she and her husband Adam started brainstorming a better way to store toys with lots of small pieces. They started with the large Lay-n-Go, then created a smaller 18-inch version that’s perfect for toting toys on road trips and to restaurants. At home and on the go, Lay-n-Go is a great way for kids to manage their own toy collections. As Amy likes to say, “play for hours, clean up in seconds.” Sounds great to us! Wish we had had one of these when I was little. My mom got so mad about all of the legos being out, she donated them to a community garage sale. The elderly gentleman up the street bought them at the garage sale and gave them to my brother and me! We were thrilled, my mom - not so much!!!!! Susan

I too, made one of these for the kids Legos.. wonderfully easy clean up. That was back in the early 70s.. made with fabric from Woolworths.

If you can find a piece of road print fabric this would be extra cute!!! They could play with their hot wheels, trucks, etc. 20+ years ago I used road fabric for the backing of DSs quilts. We would spread it on the floor and he would play and play and play. Searching for appropriate fabric...haven't found "the" correct piece yet: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Disney...&hash=item3f2167bbc6 That's the best I could find quickly. I checked my photos and don't have a photo of the back of DSs quilt. If I think about it, I'll go pull it out of the closet and take a pic. I made a play quilt out of road fabric for DGS. I put pockets one end for garages and airplane hangers. He still has it . He is 14 now so I know he has had it for at least 10 years. TerryOH

I had some time to talk to adults and my girls had 'new' toys to play with!! win/win!! And a little bag like this would be a good thing...... uh oh, now my brain is working overtime!!! I can NOT start anything else right now!!!! (and I am not kidding....
