The pink block is beautiful! I'll have to start thinking butterflies...since it was for the kitchen I was thinking pink hen...that won't work at all!

It is fun to start seeing these blocks come to life, isn't it!

Just so everyone is aware...if it looks like some of the blocks aren't getting as much stitching done by one person as other blocks...we have three groups of stitching going on and two of the groups have four people and one group has five people. The group with five people is doing 1/5 of the area of the blocks that come to them. The other groups are doing 1/4 of the area of the blocks that come to them. Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware and not worried.

The blocks are looking good ladies. I have pulled out some threads and laces, but haven't started. I agree with you Kayla that it is hard to stay monocromatic.

Good work ladies.

I still have seams and more silk ribbon work to do but I thought I bring this up to the top with a photo of Pat's block. Some looks white but it's real light blue...I only used blue.

Isn't it funny how colors change in photos I love the buttons you've attached. Are those French knots in the darker blue?

Thanks, yes, the bird is made out of all french knots. I used one strand of thread and made him separate from the block on a piece of muslin.

It's the way I have the block laying. The birdie is sitting on the limb...he is the light blue and dark blue french knots. Sorry about that...I had no place to hang him to take the photo. and Thanks

This is before I sewed him to the block

If you can make french knots, you can do it. Just draw a picture of what you want to make like a butterfly, bird, flower onto a piece of muslin large enough to put in a hoop and then just do hundreds of little french knots with a single strand of thread. Cut it like an applique leaving 1/4 to 1/2 inch to turn under and sew it onto the block.

Hi Ladies! Just peeking in to see how your blocks are coming along - looking purty! I can see you are all having a great time pulling all your embellishments together - that is one of my favorite parts of CQing.

I just peeked in on this thread a day or two ago, and love seeing what everyone is doing. I have a block I started a few years ago that got put to the side, you might have inspired me to see if I can get back to it. Smile. Love the little bird Holee.

Pat, glad you like it.

I have to admit I was fearing the next block..gray (Coleen's), but this afternoon I worked on putting together bags for the next 3 blocks so if I'm short I can do an on line shopping trip.

Well, the gray bag is stuffed! I'm amazed at how much gray I have. I must have been on a natural kick when I bought beads because I have tons in grey or mother of pearl that takes on the look of gray. I'm ready!

Very nicely done Kayla. I asked for a photo on the PM...before I saw it here. Oops! Loving the vines but agree with Bea, the tree is ma-va-lous!

I'm still working along too Erma...and hope to mail before the 1st...but have beads to add. Here is where I am so far.

Thanks Bea.

I got the buttons and beads sewn on yesterday and last night. The work on this round is finished. Now, I just have to do my little write-up and get it into the mail. Perhaps today or tomorrow it will be headed out. I'll let you know Colleen when I mail. Here's the finished work.
