I'm enjoying the show: the history and the guests!

No, I haven't even heard of this and our area isn't on their list of known broadcasts. I'm thinking of buying the DVD set. I know a lot of the local quilters would be interested in seeing it.

Looks like a very good program, don't see the listings for where it is being broadcasted, but I might be ordering it anyways. Thanks for letting us know about this program. Pat

Thank you for telling us about it. It's not on our PBS listings but I may buy it. I looked a bit and it would be nice to have and share.

On the website is a Resources tab, you can view the list of Episodes. The PDFs are very nice to go through... lots of quilt images.


Have to agree with you all, the DVD would be wonderful to own... and, I've only seen 2 episodes!

Not being shown locally - darn. Will read more before deciding on the DVD's.

I did a (Google) search on: why quilts matter history art & politics and then, chose "videos". To my surprise, there were lots of Episode bits to choose from.

The Press tab is another great feature on the Why Quilts Matter site!

I search for the program on my DVR it looks like nothing is coming up in the near future.

So I set it to AUTORECORD the program if it does.

I've caught a couple of them just by accident.

Thanks for posting this-- on my birthday I can come home and watch episode #8... will have to try to catch the rest in rerun, our PBS usually reruns in the summer.

Bringing this discussion back to the top. Has anyone gotten the dvd set yet? If so, comments on the series?

Anyone who's getting the programming on their PBS, what'd you think? Best part? What about using any for guild programs?

Our guild decided to order for their library, with some members ordering for their personal collections. Would love any/all feedback.

It is only airing on a limited number of PBS stations, and it looks like mine is not one of them.
