Can't find a thread for the month of April so I will start one. If there is already one please let me know. This is my April finish. I thought this was a good idea for 2 teenage girls. They should be able to use a duffel bag!! Finally got this one made and sure am hoping the 2nd one goes a lot better (will save it for another month) and will be doing a few things different. The picture is taken on the couch so maybe you can tell by the cushion the size of this bag. I had some decorator fabric that was given to me and so all of this came from my stash (even the lining) except for the zippers.

May, I love the table runner.

I have yet to sew for April and all day I knew I would come home and do the dish towel plastic bag holder (may not even qualify it is easy) for my daughter for Christmas and now can't find the towel. I had it one day and I put it up as she was coming and didn't want her to see it. Wine theme so she would know it was for her. I am still looking....

I have so many plans for making Xmas gifts but was delayed with the start of garden season. So many seeds to start indoors and sow outdoors have kept my busy, busy, busy.
I hope to get back to my quilting sometime soon.

I found the towel and got it done! Smile I might do a few more if I find the towels to fit people. There is a maroon ribbon on it but can't see it in the picture.

Christmas gifts on hold until I finish baby gifts. ( which are more fun, especially when you know the gender) So I have been working on crochet edgings on baby socks, a jelly roll tote to be used as a diaper bag, and afgan, and a DNP in corals/watermelon colours. Of course trying to fit it in around all the other stuff I do is the hard part.

I have made 2 purses for friends and 2 tree skirts for my daughters. My camera is on the blink again but will take pictures when I get a new one. Or when I figure out what is wrong with this one.

Am loving the pictures, but guess I'd best get my picture posted before this month is gone!

I have a wallet that I made quit sometime ago and I love it. Do you think I could find the pattern that I used? NOT! So with measuring tape in hand and some paper to scribble on I think I figured it out. Here it is closed.

Sorry that is a little blurry. This is it opened. I've put cards in the pockets so you can see how many there is. My written instructions need to be fixed to widen these pockets just a smidgen. Kind of a tight fit. Know a couple of people that would like one of these so if I don't loose the instructions I will be making a couple more!!

I assume this is where we are posting the 12 Months of Christmas sewing for May. May love the RWB table runner and Margie I love the wallet. I need a new soft thinner one for the purse that my mom makes with different covers.

My project for May, is a Christmas gift for my mom. A new outfit (spring/summer) for Mrs. Goosey. I took apart an old outfit that was my grandmas to make a pattern. The ruffle is actullay from that outfit. Make use of it besides storing or pitching. I always have intentions of sewing more towards the goals of Christmas but..... April and May I have done on the last day of the month.
