Over the past year or so - so many of us have made Twister quilts and projects. I don't know if there's been a recent show-n-tell thread of their photos or not but just in case, let's have one!

Also I'd love to make a whole photo folder of all of them (over at the HGTV facebook page so that people can look through all of them)

Would you mind if I included your photos over there?? Of course I will credit you. Wink

I'm trying to get that page more active and the whole reason it was started was so we'd have a place to archive all the photos b/c they leave after so long here on the boards.

Thanks!

I have made and posted several. I teach @ LQS and my itty wreath runner is by far the most sucessful class ever!I have made all sizes but I think the itty is my fav. I especially like that you can cut it without moving around the table.

Thanks! I've already started adding them over there - for anyone else reading you can click this link to take you to the HGTV facebook page and see all the Twister quilts and projects in the new album.

I'm gonna work on making more photo albums over there so they can be accessed easier. We have so much talent on this board!! Wink

Thanks TcMay for sharing the link to KC1930's twister photos that she's collected - they say great minds think alike! well apparently I'm just a slow thinker Wink lol I love all the variety of twisters and what you can make with them. Very complex looking but very simple really!

Thanks Cr8tive1 and mandylifeboats for sharing both your projects, I'll add them to our facebook folder. Wink The Quilting Board Forum I've heard is very nice. It was a year or more that I was there to check it out.... didn't hang out much b/c I didn't know anyone over there.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! ~bonnie

Hi Bonnie, I made this "Texas Twister" at summer retreat this past July. I used fabric from the 2011 "Quilt Across Texas" line from Moda It was my first time ever making one, easy peasy! Finished measured out to 66 x 66, used the large twister template (10" blocks), inner border 6.5", outside border 6.5". This is the after picture will post a before cutting picture in the next post to get the idea.
I love your pink ones, especially how you made two of them. I have enough to make a small one from the scraps of the big one!

Here is a picture of the blocks sewed together and the first border before the cutting began.

I sewed the top and cut out the twister squares on one day and sewed and finished the top the next day.

this one hangs over my mantel now. The little pinwheel blocks on top and bottom were made from the leftovers after the twister was cut.

McPatches that sure is a pretty quilt. I like the outside border and the fact that it isn't straight. TFS
I really have to stop looking at all these Twister quilts. I need to finish mine.

Here's a Christmas wreath that I made...still needs quilting & a bow.

To be honest, I found the technique somewhat awkward. I had borrowed the template & instructions...satisfied my curiosity & passed it back! I won't make another.

Here's mine -- haven't trimmed or attached the binding yet, as you can tell. That's my next one to finish.
