I'm getting there. The top is about halfway done. Do you want us to post a picture when we're done or wait til the show?

Awright, Jane!!! As long as your project shows up on May 26th, you're in.

Kimberliiw: If, as with City/Sandie, you are making it as part of another thread/challenge, go ahead and post it there. But to be in the Patriotic Challenge I'd like it to show up on that thread on the 26th of May. Otay?

Perhaps a good idea would be to say postings can begin on the Wednesday preceding Memorial Day for those that might be doing something that weekend. Sound OK????

Jes: If you are making what I'm secretly chuckling about...I can't wait to see what you have for us.

ETA: Did you see how many have accepted this challenge?? WOW, what a show this is going to be!!!!

The top is done, just needs to be quilted. Mine is a mini from Neicy's challenge. It's my next project to be worked on.

Checked out last years pics...very nice. Hope mine isn't too small!

Hey Paus,

Patch here, on my mom's computer.

I have bought more material for my challenge quilt, but haven't had the time to do anything for myself, or so it seems...who knows what will happen between now and then. Starting a full time job over the summer...

MadWAITING FOR MY COMPUTERMad

Supposed to have it back this past week. But the fella working on it brought his brother home from NY for his last days with them, so I haven't said anything cuz I have been in his shoes...but sure would love to have it back ASAP. Withdrawls...not really, lack of inspiration more so than anything!

I'll be getting out my RWB material and see what becomes of the blocks I already have cut.

Am I the only one who has this problem? Buty material with an idea in mind then when it comes to doing the project...years later, something else has taken shape?

I ca't wait to see what we on the board have come up with for different designs for your challenge.

Later all~

~Patch

Have a great day!!!!!

Hey Patch .. sorry about thre cmputer.. it's sosrt of like having the sewing machine gone! What to do? What to do? Your commnet abut the fabric is sort of a deja vu for me..in lat years RWB is the fabric that was to be the setting squares and small blocks and backing for the BOM's I had done in 2006 (my first sets of BOM) well, you see 2007's RWB posted..
And in the blocks from 2006 that I have done into a wall hanging for 2008 you will see the REST of the Moda that was to have been used back there in 2006! NOT TO WORRY - it always has a life - sometime somewhere .. it's 5 O'clock.

Nope, nope, Kimberliiw. Once your name goes on the list, you have to come up with a project for the Show 'cause my delete button doesn't work. Strike over button is kaput also. No drop outs allowed on this one. lolllllll

And don't forget there is a gift that goes to each participant, now you don't want to miss what I have in store for everyone, do you????

I know you are gonna enjoy the show. Wonderful artisans here!!!!!

Patch, nope, nope, nope to you also. You signed on toooooooo early to not have something going on by now. Nope, nope, nope.

Shall we send Best Wishes cards for the timely return of your computer??? And some good thoughts for your repairman's family.

Ohhhhhh, Jes, I just knew that was the book. There is so much in there that trying to figure out what you are up to would definitely be a challenge. Can't wait!!! You should see the new book I got this week....Patriotic projects only.

The only fabric I am holding sacred for any project is a mix of purples and some orange. I am soooooo tempted by the current swap for those colors but I can't, I really can't. I have to keep holding on to these; keep reminding me, please.

Otherwise it's a free for all with my fabrics. Project in mind, or not.

Oh gosh no I'm not dropping out. I just meant it would be more fun for us to wait and post them all at once for the show. I've been sewing the borders on mine today and will hopefully get it quilted in the next week or so. Big Grin

Ok, I guess I better drag this one out of the drawer and get to work. I had a second one in mind that I have worked on, but it needs a border and I can't decide what to use. Who knows, I might have a big bout of inspiration and get them both done. ha! ha!

Guess I didn't see the first thread on this challenge. Do we just post pictures of these or do we send them somewhere? If we are just posting pictures of our projects....I have done some which are finished.

Pooh! I was going to sign up but I'll be in Alaska on May 26th. Can I send my picture to someone and have them post it for me???

I don't mind coming to work. But that 8 hr. wait to go home is a drag.

Ok Paus, I got the Star Log Cabin top out last night and have finally figured out where I left off. I started putting the inner border on today. As for the other quilt, it is an embroidered top done in R/W/B with a little green(flowers and stems.) It is hand quilted. I have quilted everything on the blocks, but I have decided it needs some more quilting, some of it is just too far apart. It also needs a border. I may get a border on it before May 26, but I don't think I will be finished with the quilting. I'll post a picture of what I have done by then. Mary Susan

ETA: I may have to post my pic/pics on Friday, the 23rd instead of waiting to the 26th. We are considering cancelling our internet connection at home. We just don't use it enough to justify the **$, got to start cutting back somewhere. If we cancel it, I'll have to post from the office on Friday before Memorial Day and I'll have a great show to see on Tuedsay when I return to work.
