I love Blogland. I can (and do) get lost for an hour or so just browsing around. I liked your link and it led me to another one, Quilts and a Mug. There I picked up a cool idea that you may already have heard of. When you make a sample block, make it in Christ#mas colors, then you will sometime have enough blocks to put together a sampler quilt.

Just reread my post. What I meant to say, in case it wasn't clear, was that when you are trying a new block for the first time, make it in Xmas colors, yada-yada-yada.

quiltinnana - that is a good idea!! Then, you will have extra blks for that quilt/throw, or table runner or to use in a Christmas quilts backing!! Win/Win!!! And you have also had the fun of learning a new blk and building your skills!!
I liked your idea! Can you tell?? LOL!!
