Ok I'm coming to the pj party, just cleared it with DH, no grandkids tonight. My grandaughter and DIL were here this morning and we made a halloween costume.
I'm bringing some Bohemian Apple Strudel. I made it this morning early. I hope it tastes ok.
I think I'm going to make my block with 2 colors and maybe a center fussy cut. Will that work? Better get the homework done so I'll be prepared tonight only 2 1/2 hours to get r done.

Strudel recipe from my MIL. she got it from her mother so it has a lot of history and memories for DH.shhhh don't tell that I'm sharing. It is a pastry with sliced apples, cinnamon, sugar, raisens for the filling in a pastry (pie) type dough.

Thanks for sharing the pineapple instructions, it looks so cool! Sorry I couldn't make it to the party last night, I've got four little art quilts I HAVE to finish up before the 3rd so I'm trying to be good & focus, lol. I can't wait to try out this technique!

Ok, here is mine. It still needs to be pressed.

This morning I showed DH my block and explained the process. And the basics of paper piecing the same block. He was very complimentary on the new process and commented that even in woodworking sometimes there can be more than one way to accomplish the same end results.

I told him that there's no way I would PP this block, but this technique - I can see it eating up all those bits and pieces in my stash.

I was monitoring last night, but couldn't sew then. Thanks for the class, Sew Happy~you were a wonderful teacher.
Here's my block. I like it, but I think the bias edges would bother me on a larger project.

ETA  forgot the photo!
...and I forgot to thank you for the recipe. Looks YUMMY!
