My check for next payment is in the mail — I hand-carried it into the post office myself, so it should be there in plenty of time.

I have not made reservations yet; still awaiting DH's decision on whether he is going or whether I will "batch" it or whether some mystery quilter will decide to join me at the last minute or whether I will ask for a roommie.

Sorry we're still seeing drop-outs. I know life gets in the way at times. Hope the rest of us can still plan on going and that others are able to fill the empty slots.

Haven't made room reservations but will stay with (I don't remember) and her 13 y/o gd.

Is there anything else I'm supposed to be doing, I sent in the balance of my pymt.

The 1/4 yard is a fabric that is given to each attendee to make whatever they want using the guidelines the fabric came with. A prize will be awarded to the ones voted "best _______". It is NOT part of the Round Robin. That is something that had to be signed up for.
If you've sent in your payment then there's nothing to do right now. Pretty soon we'll be announcing classes and having sign ups but it isn't time for that yet.

Unfortunately, I too will not be able to make it to the June retreat. It's just awful that Life doesn't always co-operate with my wants.

This may have been covered, but I couldn't find it, but i may have missed it also.

About what time should I make my flight for on Sunday? What is planned for that day? Was making my reservations and wasn't sure what time to make it for????

good question cksvett - we're working on the schedule. We have to be out of the meeting rooms by 3PM on Sunday. The airport is only 15 mins from the hotel - but if you're depending on the shuttle, you'll be on their schedule.

LOTS of people arrive on Thursday - so if you can, you might want to be there then also. If not, then as early as you can on Friday.

Sorry to say, but I too will not be able to attend as planned. Too much family/life happenings this year. Maybe next time.....

Well I had a panic last week. I could not find the folder with all my retreat info and challenge fabric in it! My sewing room did get some cleaning and I eventually found it. I had the kids and hubby in there looking, but I found it while cleaning!

Are we going to have a table for the I have this but don't need it's? A friend gave me a box and bag of fabric, But it is stuff I do not use like couderoy etc I will be happy to bring it for those that can use it! May be more after I clean that poor room more!

Lori! Thank you for the fun tab! My husband will be interested in all there is to do in the area. Can't wait to point it out to him when he gets home tomorrow. Many thanks!

Lori, I'm sorry to have to do this but I am dropping out also. Family stuff has come up and I have to change my plans. Boo-hoo, sob, sniffle. I had a great idea for the fabric challenge. Guess I'll have to save it for another retreat.

I just had a brainstorm of an idea. I've been totally stuck on what to make with the challenge fabric. I just remembered a project that I tucked away wanting to make some time. I think the fabric will be perfect for it.

At past retreats many people do have items to give to each attendee that they have made or maybe purchased as gifts.

This is NOT mandatory, nor does everyone do it. But if you want to make something to give DO IT!
Figure on having 70 items, at the very least 65. In the past there have been things like brooch type pins, tape measures, needle threaders, magnets, pin cushions, key fobs, luggage tags, etc...

Then during retreat you can find time to pass them out - when you aren't supposed to be doing something else, that is.

Some of the gifties in the past have been edible...like spiced pecans, candy,etc

and she gave us the recipe in Branson!

Don't forget those rice warmers? Awesome chicken pincushion that I didn't know I needed. But it would be nice if you were putting them into the tote that we got in Branson if there was a name of who gave what. I definitely wanted to personally thank everyone who used their time and creativity to share with all of us. It was wonderful. Our first retreat and Sue and I had a Blast. Pat

Lori, you gave me the best laugh today... my toffee "famous"!! LOL!!
It was a nice extra to the COF in Branson receiving so many little gifts that I can use.
A hand-made needle threader, a mug rug, needle case, key chain, flower pin, the chicken pin cushion, a change purse.
You're right patty, wish I knew who made all the cute items and gave them out.
