Now aren't these the prettiest little stilettos you've ever seen? This is a great tutorial on Bonnie Hunter's site. I think they are beautiful!

Those are wonderful! Last year I made some with bamboo skewers and it was a nightmare. The holes in the beads had to be enlarged and that took lots of patience and sweat trying not to break them. How smart to use turkey pins. I've still got lots of beads to use. TFS

Saw that awhile ago...looked for similar turkey lacers...no could find. Checked 3 kitchen stores + "grocery store," as suggested in post. Found ones way thicker that couldn't be unbent or threaded with beads. Didn't feel like messing with online searching/ordering so gave up on idea! Back to using either a tiny metal crochet hook, or a pointy metal tool used for clay/pottery, or just my fingers (at risk). Not pretty but they work.

I bought a stiletto years ago and love it but before that, I used to use the point of my stitch/thread cutter. You know, the thing one uses to remove stitches. It works as well.

I have several of those lacers in my kitchen drawer. I'm going to have to try one in beads of my favorite colors. Need some metal glue first. I printed off the instructions for later. Thanks.

Boy, was I surprised when I looked at this. (looked before I read everyones postSmile) I thought it would be a quilt with high heels on it. LOL That is a neat thing to make. Might this be another notion that is like the pincushion? I never thought I needed one until Sue bought me one in Vegas, now we wonder how I ever managed without it. Smile Smile

Haha, I thought It was going to be high heels with quilting designs, lol. Dd just glittered the bottom of a pair of her heels too so decorating real shoes was on my mind.

If you can't find them now, they might be available before Thanksgiving.

OT: been watching the Olympics for two days with side by side photos of the same scene. Just realized I'm on a 3D channel. Didn't even know there was such a thing! LOL

I put it in search on amazon and it came up. Don't know if would in other stores online. Just in case some wanted some right away, might help for searches.

Sherry,

I will have some stilettos and stylists on hand in my boutique...not exactly like these, but pretty just the same.
