My hand would be up if it were near me. Considered going last year when they were nearly 400 miles away but it didn't work out. Now if they were going to be 3hour or less, I'd try really hard to work it out.
Are you going? I think Quiltaholic went last year to one near her.

Ali, could you post the link to that? It seems to me the cost was $180 - and I wonder if it is worth it. When I went to hear Alex Anderson at Weber's I was disappointed because it was more autobiographical than sewing related.

Are there different programs each of the three days? In other words can you opt for 1 day rather than three?

I was also wondering what happens over the 3 days and if anyone else had attended one of these events. I have no link. It came in an email from the LQS and it says the 3 days will give inspiration and ideas. No sewing goes on there. Sorry I don't have more info.

I have no thoughts about going but was curious about the event and did a quick search and found this:

"More about Ricky Tims Seminar – The Ricky Tims Quilt Seminar with Ricky, Alex Anderson and Libby Lehman is coming to Rochester, MI on May 2 – 4 2013. It is being sponsored by Oakland County Quilt Guild and the Evening Star Quilt Guild in Davison. The seminar is being held at Oakland Christian Church on Adams Road in Rochester. Price for the 2 1/2 day seminar (including the evening concert by Ricky) is $224 for an individual. If a group can get 10 or more people to register together, the price is $184 per person. Please take a look at Ricky’s web site for more information. The seminar is lecture only format by all three teachers. You don’t bring a machine, buy class supplies and you don’t need to have advanced quilting skills. The deadline for registering isn’t until February, but they estimate 700 attendees, so I think registering early may be an absolute must. Check out the web site for a video and a listing of the seminar schedule of events. There will also be shopping available!

It looks interesting...and 5 hour drive is do-able for me. Has anyone attended this type of seminar? I've seen both Ricky and Alex before in short class or lecture venues...both are very talented and challenging.
