For those who sew children's clothing to be passed along when outgrown, I just spotted this spiffy elastic idea. May be the last person on earth to know it but just in case...... Mary Ellen

This has been around for years but I've only used it for pregnancy. Those expanding bellies need it.

I happen to have some of the "real" buttonhole elastic on hand, both in white & black. I had seen an online button bracelet made with that elastic, and I mentally filed the idea. So when I saw the buttonhole elastic somewhere, I picked it up. I didn't realize it was that hard to find.

The jeans that I buy for my girls have adjustable waist, using buttonhole elastic. Love those jeans and can not get a good fit otherwise.

While in Jo-Ann Fabrics a while back, they had a clearance on several Velcro and elastic items--one of which was the buttonhole elastic. Score!Big Grin! I bought some in hopes of using it to make things for my girls, but haven't gotten around to using it yet.

I remember the buttonhole elastic in pants & jeans from back in the pregnancy days & they weren't yesterday. Youngest DS is 27. Those pants & jeans fit before, during & after & comfortable too.
