Betty Cotton authored "The Cotton Theory" and this is ONE method that is being taught nationwide by certified instructors. Interestingly you can attend a class on it in RI and I could PM you the location-it's closer to you than all the way down here! Wink She has at least two books out on it and you can watch a video on the method too. I believe I saw one online from America Quilts Creatively with Sue Houseman (never spell that right.) If you go to her site you can get the directions -they're there. You search under the different series for Betty Cotton. Also Nancy Zieman has had her on as a guest. OR if you belong to QNN -online videos of the quilting shows are there- you can watch the episode (s). Hope this helps. I made placemats from the class taught locally.

BonnieN passed this along to me the other day. You won't find it in the Nancy's Notion catalogue but here is a demonstration of the Cotton Theory on video

Here is the Quilters' Cache version of quilting as you go.

Then here is the Fun and Done method posted recently on the board.

Hope you find one you would like to try.

ETA: Just re-read your post and you said you are looking for 'projects'. My understanding is any project, just about, can be done QAYG. If you are looking for specific projects you can check through the Bayside site for several.

That is so funny. As I was working on a project the other day I was thinking there must be a way to make all parts of the block at one time and then put alll the blocks together and have the quilt done. I s*wear i have never seen this in topic before---and here I thought I was having an original idea!! Someone beat me to the original idea!! Thanks for posting.

Is this the same method that Georgia Bonesteel wrote a book on years ago. I have that book, in fact I have all her books, and it looks like the same. I like the method of adding sashing, I will have to try that. This block by block sure will make machine quilting easier.

Go to www.baysidequilting.com and then click on Fun & Done. There is a video and shows you step by step. I love it! Made several quilts so far and have a few more cut out to do. Have Fun... Betty
