Loved the pencil columns and yardstick shutters!

I think the right one won but Tori Spelling's clown makeup was too distracting.

LOL -- I was also wondering about Tori's makeup & hair -- wondering if I had the contrast on the TV set too high or something.

I didn't find the show to be particularly unique. Reminded me of that 24-hour Catwalk (?) show, but with glue guns this time.

I found things to get a little annoying, too, when they were rush rush rushing to get stuff done. Not exactly relaxing to watch. To me, creating is about relaxing & being in a different frame of mind, not rushing to beat a clock. Made me nervous to watch that!

LOL'ed at Tori's remark about the judges & "glue strings." Cringed at the woman who bogged down the sewing machine with spray glue!

I liked that the judges considered that you're not usually on a time limit. They eliminated the one who's bag was finished but poor quality, rather than the one not finished. And I think the right lady won too.

I agree with StarrySky, creating is about relaxing. I don't think I can watch this show I have enough stress.

Not to mention I could be in my own "Craft room" having a Craft War...which project should I work on next?!!!

Hubby came into the room and stopped to watch for a while them said what's with the lipstick and walked out. lol
It was not as good as I thought it might be. I can see having a quick rush job for the first challenge but the next one should be more relaxed. also, when the brought out the 2 carts they should have been identical, that way we could she have two people use the same stuff differently.
That's my critic for the day Smile

Jody...you are SO right! I have my own pile of projects! Normally I love watching these kinds of programs but something about this didn't appeal to me so I just sat and stitched and watched whatever DH had on...kept meaning to get up and check on this one though...now I am kinda glad I didn't take the time...

I guess it was at least entertaining, but I like shows that teach you something...at least more than not to sew over spray adhesive!!!!!! Hello!!
My question is -

When did Tori become a crafting expert & since when does she have a line of crafts?????

I guess I am out of the loop.

All of your comments are what I was thinking. I didn't like the show. I miss the Aleen show. I did like the red school house, and glad she won. What was with Tori's big red lips, and she has a craft book out, I never saw it.

I got nervous with all the frantic push. I want to relax with my crafts. Oh Carol...where are you!! If I can remember how to play video tapes, I'll see if I can find you and ENJOY a show...

I thought something was wrong with the lipstick color on my tv....!!!!

I recorded it but haven't watched it yet. When I read about the show format, I was wondering. From all the feedback I won't bother watching the show. I like to learn from the shows also.
I loved Carol Duvall even if I will never do 60% of the projects that were featured. It was always enjoyable. I also miss simply quilts.

I don't even get any of the PBS sewing/quilting shows. Our PBS stations in the Los Angeles area don't air any of the episodes anymore.
