Step 2: Sew outer sleeve to the base
Wrap the felt strip around the cap. Then slipstitch along the overlap. Add the base circle, and slipstitch around it. Don't cut the floss, will be used to attach the top.

Doesn't sound like many are out there. On to the next step.

Step 3: Create the top
Cut a 3 to 4 -inch square, and then round the corners. Baste around the circle's outer edge. Pull the floss ends to gather. Stuff the pouch with polyfiberfill (until the ball is hard), and knot the floss ends. Press the ball into the base, this is where it use the hot glue to help hold the ball to the cap.

Once the ball is attached it is on to

Step 5: Embellish
Use embroidery, ribbon, ric rac, and/or beads. Decorate anyway you want. Make flowers, vines, or geometric designs. Look at your pin cushion as a blank canvas and just have fun and decorate.

I'm here but arrived late. I'm watching the movie 'Miracle of the White Stallions' on the BYU Channel, based on a true story of the Lippizaner stallions and how they were saved. I'm taking notes and saving the pics so I can do this pin cushion tomorrow.
So far, I understand the instructions and this should be easy for me.
Thanks.

Oh...I did have a glass of iced tea with my pie. Oh and the brownies Heartmania shared were delicious.

Are there any Snickers left? Don't toss me one...inquiring minds just want to know.

The class may have been small, but we have good eats!

TY STinMT for a great class. I know a couple of little girls that might have fun with this too.

Good pie, snickers still in the pumpkin, help yourself.

I really have to get busy at my HQ 16 and my Santa elf job starts tomorrow, besides my regular job, so I will be busy thru Dec. 24.

I want to wish all a Happy Thanksgiving, have a safe and wonderful holiday.

This was fun and simple. Need to get some perle cotton in the morning. I think my pin cushion looks like a cupcake, maybe to much batting or could be because I didn't hot glue it to the cap. Will try again tomorrow. Thank you for great instructions.

I think I need to try this, but I've got to find my hot glue gun. I wonder if Elmer's glue would work in a pinch?

Was it hard to do the decorative stitching on top after it was glued into the cap?

Had to go to the city today and I am so tired. I am glad I did log in though. I have made these before using quilting material and fabric glue, but did not embellish the top. I want to try them your way because they are so cute, I will post it when it is done.

● ● ● Wow! this was a short and fast class. It's amazing how simple they are. I have tons of bottle caps but no felt. I might have to give them a try someday.

Great job STinMT! Now please pass the brownies. Yummy

I just had a good idea. Smile My GD loves to have tea party's with P 10 (that's how she says pretend) food. I am going to make a few of these mini cupcakes for our next tea party.
I love the slip stitch around the rim of the cap to make it more secure.
Thanks for the great class, teach.

These are so cute! And, the instructions look straightforward.

I am sorry I forgot to check in last night during the PJ party. I worked late yesterday to make up some time at work since I took off a couple days for my DH's knee surgery.

I am going to try to make a few of these to use up some of my felt scraps. I might even try them with the Girl Scouts... Maybe they could use them to hold their wire earrings...
